Zandrel closed his ears to all they were saying and instead turned to Kivara. "What do you think?"
She shook her head. "When he was going for the strips, then he ran into an undergrowth and we lost sight of him briefly. I think he's planning something."
He nodded. "Do you think he's a coward?"
Kivara snorted. "Everyone is a coward. Do you think anyone will truly stand in front of a life-threatening situation when there's a chance to run away? We are selfish creatures and our first act of service is to ourselves. Always."
Zandrel smiled. "I can't argue with that. Let's see if our little friend did have something up."
