Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Tai Nuo’s Underestimation

"You have an amazing husband!"

Liu Erlong spoke with a shocking tone and continued, "His mind is like a vast library, filled with countless books. No matter what theory I bring up, he can immediately pinpoint its source!"

"Such a talent is wasted as just a librarian. Besides, does that meager salary even help support your household?"

"That's why I want to give both sides an opportunity—having Mr. Dan Heng serve as a senior teacher would be a far better fit for his abilities!"

As Liu Erlong spoke, her sharp gaze was fixed on Gu Yue Na.

She was evaluating her.

If she wanted to influence Dan Heng indirectly, she needed to understand his home life.

Dan Heng's wife, Gu Yuena, though wearing a veil that only revealed her forehead and eyes, and dressed in a modest white dress, had an ethereal and elegant aura.

Without even fully seeing her face, Liu Erlong could already tell—this woman was a stunning beauty!

From those eyes alone, she even felt a sense of self-doubt in her own appearance.

A man who could marry such a beautiful wife—if he wasn't ambitious, then that would be truly strange.

He must be someone who listens to his wife.

Gu Yue Na smiled gently and shook her head slightly. "As a mere woman, how could I influence my husband?"

"My husband must have his own reasons for what he wants to do. I would never interfere."

She spoke with a perfectly composed attitude.

Men handle external affairs, women take care of the home. Whatever decisions Dan Heng made, she would not try to persuade him.

Unless she saw him making a grave mistake.

Liu Erlong was taken aback by Gu Yuena's "virtuous" mindset—she wasn't used to such a woman.

At the same time, she couldn't help but envy Dan Heng.

Not only did he have a stunningly beautiful wife, but she was also gentle and supportive.

How much good karma did he accumulate in his past life to deserve this?

After a moment of silence, Liu Erlong held Gu Yuena's hand and sincerely pleaded:

"Madam, you must know that our Blue Tyrant Academy only accepts civilian soul masters. We are an academy driven by righteousness, but that also means we lack resources."

"We desperately need a teacher like Mr. Dan Heng."

"This isn't just about giving Dan Heng more prestige and income—it's about securing a future for these children!"

She sat closer, clasping Gu Yuena's hand, staring deeply into her eyes.

She even started playing the pity card to win Dan Heng over.

And while holding Gu Yuena's hand, she couldn't help but think—this is way too soft!

Gu Yuena frowned slightly and pulled her hand away.

Though it was a same-gender interaction, she still wasn't used to such close contact.

After thinking for a moment, Gu Yuena said, "I do have an idea. Dean Liu, you might want to try it."

"What idea?" Liu Erlong's eyes lit up.

"My husband enjoys a peaceful life. If you want his insights, instead of disrupting him, why not simply ask him which books to study?"

"This way, his tranquility remains undisturbed, while students and teachers alike can still gain knowledge. Isn't that a great solution?"

Gu Yuena smiled as she explained.

"That..." Liu Erlong rubbed her hands together, deep in thought.

"It would be too slow, and some things can't be found in just one book."

Liu Erlong wasn't satisfied with this approach.

"Then just ask more frequently," Gu Yuena responded. "But remember one thing—never let others realize my husband's true brilliance. He doesn't like that."

She gave a serious warning.

Liu Erlong nodded thoughtfully.

Could Dan Heng be some kind of fugitive?

With such a beautiful wife, if he were to reveal his true identity outside, he'd definitely attract trouble from hooligans!

But since she couldn't get more help from Gu Yuena, she had to settle for now.

Meanwhile, Tai Nuo arrived at the academy's courtyard.

Tai Long was engaged in an arm-wrestling match with a junior, surrounded by about a dozen spectators.

Most of these soul masters were commoners from cities outside Heaven Dou City and couldn't go home during holidays.

Tai Nuo pushed through the crowd just as Tai Long was winning a match.

Without hesitation, Tai Nuo took the seat opposite his son, gripping his hand.

"Come, let's have a match."

Tai Long was surprised for a moment, but when he saw it was his father, he quickly protested, "Dad, that's not fair! Let go of me!"

"No way! You dare to acknowledge some random guy as your teacher? You need to be disciplined!"

Tai Nuo sneered and tightened his grip. Tai Long's face turned red immediately.

The two muscular arms locked onto the stone table, exerting force against each other.

Tai Long was already drenched in sweat, struggling desperately.

But Tai Nuo remained completely relaxed, showing no signs of exertion.

"Tai Long, remember this—it's fine to recognize a teacher or even a master, but if you ever acknowledge someone weaker than yourself, I'll break your legs!"

Tai Nuo sneered.

Tai Long gritted his teeth and countered, "Dad! Even if you beat me to death, I still recognize Dan Heng as my teacher! He's truly brave and wise!"

"Don't spout nonsense. He's just an ordinary person! I already paid him gold soul coins! From now on, you two have nothing to do with each other!"

Tai Nuo scoffed.

"Boom!"

With a heavy slam, Tai Nuo pinned Tai Long's arm onto the stone table.

Tai Long winced in pain, shaking his arm and sucking in a breath.

Then he glared at Tai Nuo, full of frustration.

"So what if he's an ordinary person? His knowledge is vast!"

Tai Long retorted angrily.

Tai Nuo rolled up his sleeves and smirked. "And what use is knowledge? Strength is what matters! Could he withstand even a single punch from me?"

"Anyway, I've already settled things with him and gave him gold soul coins. If you go to the library again, I'll beat you!"

"Instead of learning proper things, you're picking up bad habits!"

Tai Nuo snorted, then clenched his fist and slammed it against the stone table.

"Boom!"

A corner of the stone table shattered instantly.

The surrounding students fell silent, not daring to make a sound.

Tai Nuo pointed at the broken stone pieces on the ground.

"Be careful, or your legs might end up looking like that!"

The onlookers backed away even further.

Tai Long's expression shifted several times before he suddenly grinned.

"Hah! You gave Teacher Dan Heng a crystal card, didn't you?"

"Yeah, so what?" Tai Nuo replied.

Tai Long stepped forward, reached into the gap in Tai Nuo's shoulder armor, and pulled out a crystal card, holding it up.

"Is this the one?"

"Teacher Dan Heng didn't accept your so-called 'reward' at all! If you dare to cause him trouble, I'll report you to Dean Liu!"

"Even if Grandpa intervenes, you're still getting beaten up!"

Tai Long laughed triumphantly.

Tai Nuo snatched the crystal card from his son's hand, his face filled with shock.

How did Dan Heng, an "ordinary man," slip this card into his armor unnoticed?

Before he could dwell on that thought, Tai Long's smug laughter enraged him.

"You little brat! I might not be able to hit him, but I can still hit you! Don't run! Get back here!"
