Plummeting through the sky, Crane tumbles through the rushing wind.
The wind flips his body around in the air, dazing him as he fights to steady himself.
It feels too real.
Twisting his body, Crane forces himself to look down.
His eyes lock onto the ground—a crowd of people, shifting, moving.
Too close. Too fast.
The wind screams past his ears.
The ground rushes up.
Closer.
And closer.
His chest tightens. His mind races.

The thought barely forms before—
Impact.
His body slams into the crowd.
Darkness swallows him whole.

A crowd of people surrounded the Last Drop, all of them cheering.
Enforcers lay knocked out on the ground, scattered around a monkey bomb.
"Wow, Powder, you did it. You saved us," Vi said, pulling Powder into a hug.
Powder's smile stretched wide. She'd finally done it.
"Your bomb worked, Powder," Vi added, her voice full of pride.
Claggor chimed in, "You really showed those enforcers who's boss," before joining the hug.
Mylo stood off to the side, eyes wide in awe. "Wow, Powder, you're so cool. Your bombs work, and you took down enforcers. You're way stronger than I'll ever be." He joined the group, his arms wrapping around them.
The crowd around the Last Drop erupted in chant.
"Pow-der! Pow-der! Pow-der!"
Vi, Claggor, and Mylo all grinned at each other. And in one swift motion, they lifted Powder off the ground, hoisting her into the air, their laughter and cheers echoing around them.
Powder looked onto the crowd, her smile still wide, her heart full. She finally had been useful.
Boom!
A body smashed into the crowd, crushing a few people as blood splattered across the rest.
Fear filled Powder.
A red mangled kid pushed himself off the bloodied floor.
"Krck."
Limbs snapped back into place as the rest of his body began to regenerate.
His tail moved like a snake.
The crowd erupted in fear.
"AAAAH!"
"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
Panicked cries filled the air as people scrambled to get away, their voices rising in terror.
"Aaaahhh!" Another voice trembled.
"RUN!" someone shouted, breathless with fear.
Vi, Claggor, and Mylo fell to the ground in fear before scrambling to their feet and running away, dropping Powder as they fled.
Powder froze, fear clutching her heart as her eyes locked onto the kid in red. Their gazes met, unblinking, as if the world around them disappeared.
The kid in red shifted side to side.
He smiled creepily, his grin widening as he waved at her, the gesture unsettling and terrifying.

Crane's body landed with sickening force, creating a crater of blood in the crowd.
His limbs were twisted unnaturally, arms folded in ways they should never go, and a bone poked out from his shattered leg.
The scene was horrific.
FUCKINGSHITBALLS! was all Crane could think of as his body began to regenerate, his arms snapping back into place.
Pushing himself off the bloodied floor, his tail moved like a snake while the rest of his body regenerated.
"AAAAH!"
Screams of terror filled his ears.
The crowd started running away.
Looking around, Crane's eyes locked onto Powder's.
For a moment, everything else faded as they stared at each other.
Crane shifted side to side, unsure of what to do in such an awkward moment.

He forced his best kind smile, trying to make it seem genuine, even though the situation felt anything but.

Crane lifted his hand and started waving at Powder, his smile staying plastered on his face, despite the chaos swirling around him.
