*This is after Ian's first fight with Ginji* Ian suddenly awakens, finding himself in a healing room. "Calm down captain" A woman with red hair and black eyes says this to Ian. This woman is five feet eight inches and her hair reaches her back. She is wearing a combat uniform while sitting in a chair next to Ian's bed. "You know you can just call me by my first name while we are in private, Scarlet" Ian says this while trying to sit up on the bed. "You know I'm not comfortable being that casual with you captain, also I don't recommend moving yet" Scarlet says this but she already knows what is about to happen. When Ian get's up he feels a harsh pain go throughout his entire body. Scarlet just face palms. "I can't just lay here, I need to make sure everyone is safe" Ian says this with clear determination on his face. "Everyone is safe, Rudius was kidnapped but Jefferson rescued him, now focus on your own recovery" Scarlet tells this to Ian with clear annoyance on her face, she still can't believe how he could just do things without thinking them through. "Oh that's good" Ian has a relieved expression on his face, which he rarely shows to anyone. "I can't slack though, I should have been strong enough to defeat the enemy right there and then" Ian clenches his fist, he stops immediately though because this slight action causes his entire body to be filled with pain again. "Training before your body fully recovers will only hurt you more" Scarlet tells Ian this basic information. because Ian has clearly forgotten it. "Oh right" Ian says this with a blank look on his face. "i always wonder how you are the smartest member of the force" Scarlet says this with a sigh. "well i might as well read something, could you pass me the university level physics, chemistry and biology books" Ian asks Scarlet with a blank expression still plastered on his face. Scarlet stands up and heads to the force's library. She enters a password and gives her finger print to a machine to allow her the highest level of clearance. "He said he wanted university level stuff, but i think universal concepts can impact his powers more, even though basically no one understands these stuff" Scarlet says this to herself and picks up three books, How to create a universe, how to apply rules to the universe and adapt biological life to inhabit the universe you made. "To even do these stuff you would need life long trauma, no one has that in the force though" Scarlet says to herself with a sigh. She closes back the library and heads back to Ian's nursing room. "You got what i asked for Scarlet?" Ian asks Scarlet, he is clearly bored and doesn't like to be unproductive. "Got you something better, you owe me one, that was my only opportunity to enter the library this year" Scarlet says with fake annoyance. Ian opens the first book without reading the cover, he instantly becomes entranced in the information provided by the book, as if he is receiving some sort of enlightenment. "Um earth to Ian" Scarlet snaps her fingers in front of Ian's face. Ian doesn't respond at and continues to read. " Well I'll leave you to your reading" Scarlet turns around and leaves the room. If only she knew that she was the reason for Ian's sudden growth.
