The squade of four walked, as Reimu looked at the communication device that was given by Yukari and Patchouli.
They kept walking they fought a grild in a Bucket as hee name was Kisume and when she uses spirit too fight then, Chris gotten worse, after they they fought a spider Yokair name Yamame and she got Chirs sicked as then they went too bridge and they fought Mizuhashi when she tryed too use her powers on Chirs she instes go blasted gy holy light of Kindness.
Reimu blinked looking at the Blond girl with rrh machine gun get sent through the bridge. "What just happened?"
Chris stood there, his body still glowing faintly from the burst of Holy Light of Kindness that had just blasted Parsee Mizuhashi off the bridge. His breathing was heavy, and his expression was one of confusion mixed with exhaustion.
Marisa whistled, looking at where Parsee had been before she was sent flying. "Well, that's one way to deal with jealousy."
Cassidy turned toward Chris, concerned. "Are you okay? That was… something new."
Chris took a shaky breath. "I don't know… I just felt something when she tried to use her powers on me. It was like… all the jealousy, hatred, and bitterness she was channeling just—" He clenched his fist. "—it couldn't touch me. And then… the light just came out on its own."
Reimu crossed her arms, eyeing him carefully. "You're telling me you didn't even try to do that?"
Chris shook his head. "No… It felt natural. Like it was something inside me that just… reacted."
Marisa adjusted her hat. "Huh. So, we got another power awakening mid-incident? Not bad, kid."
Cassidy sighed. "Well, as long as you're okay, we should keep moving. We don't have time to stop now."
Chris nodded, though he was still deep in thought about what had just happened.
After their fight with Parsee, the group continued deeper underground, passing through the Former Capital where Oni once ruled. However, they had little time to stop and admire the ruined city.
Finally, they reached their next destination—the Palace of the Earth Spirits.
Standing at the entrance was a blue-haired girl with a third eye on her chest.
Satori Komeiji.
She gazed at them with an unreadable expression before speaking.
"I've been expecting you."
Reimu sighed. "Of course, you have."
Marisa smirked. "Lemme guess, you read our minds?"
Satori nodded. "Yes. And I already know why you're here." She turned to Chris, her third eye glowing slightly. "But you… you are different."
Chris tensed. "What do you mean?"
Satori tilted her head. "You hear the voices of the lost. Their pain lingers within you, yet you are untouched by their sorrow. You are not merely an outsider in Gensokyo… You are a Guide."
Chris's eyes widened slightly, but before he could say anything, Satori continued.
"I will not stop you. If you seek to reach the Hell of Blazing Fires, you may go. But be warned—the one waiting for you will not be reasoned with."
Cassidy narrowed her eyes. "You mean Okuu?"
Satori nodded. "Yes. Ever since she absorbed the power of Yatagarasu, she has become something beyond what we can control."
Reimu stepped forward. "That's why we're here—to stop her before she does something crazy."
Satori sighed. "Very well. If you are determined, then continue forward. But do not underestimate her power."
With that, the group prepared to enter the Hell of Blazing Fires—where Utsuho Reiuji awaited.
The group pressed forward beyond the Palace of the Earth Spirits, venturing deeper into the Hell of Blazing Fires. The oppressive heat made the air shimmer, and the ground beneath them radiated with an intense, almost unbearable warmth. Molten rivers of lava flowed between jagged rocks, and the entire cavern pulsed with an eerie, unstable energy.
Chris wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Geez, this place is hotter than I expected."
Cassidy grumbled. "It's literally Hell. What were you expecting? A cool breeze?"
Marisa chuckled. "At least you're not wearing a shrine maiden outfit."
Reimu ignored her and pulled out one of her talismans. "We're getting close. I can feel it."
Just then, the air trembled with a powerful surge of energy. A pillar of nuclear fire erupted in the distance, sending shockwaves through the cavern.
Chris felt it again—the voices.
"Burn… destroy… incinerate…"
"The sun's power is mine… all shall become light…"
He clenched his fists. "It's coming from her."
Before anyone could say anything, a figure emerged from the flames.
A girl with black wings, red eyes, and a glowing third eye on her chest stood before them. Her right arm had transformed into something unnatural—a gigantic, glowing cannon-like appendage. The power of a miniature sun swirled within it, radiating sheer, destructive force.
Utsuho Reiuji, or "Okuu," had arrived.
She grinned, her gaze wild and feverish. "Oh? More people have come to bask in my radiance?"
Reimu frowned. "We're not here to admire your glow. We're here to stop you."
Okuu tilted her head. "Stop me? From what?"
Cassidy crossed her arms. "From blowing up the surface."
Okuu blinked, then laughed.
"Ahahahaha! Of course! I finally have the power of a god—why wouldn't I reshape the world with it?"
Chris narrowed his eyes. "You're not a god, Okuu. You're being used."
Okuu's gaze flickered for a second. "Used? No, no, no! I am the chosen one! I was given this power to burn away the old world and create a new one! Lady Satori and the others will understand once I prove my strength!"
Chris shook his head. "Satori is worried sick about you. If you keep going, there won't be a home left for you to return to!"
Okuu frowned, but then her third eye pulsed, and her grin returned—more feral than before.
"It doesn't matter. I am the sun incarnate. And if you won't bow to me… THEN I WILL BURN YOU TO ASHES!"
The cavern shook as Okuu lifted her cannon-arm and aimed at them.
The cavern rumbled violently as Okuu's immense power crackled through the air. The molten rivers of lava bubbled beneath their feet, and the entire ground was shaking as if the very earth itself were trying to escape from Okuu's wrath.
Chris, with his heart pounding, was the first to react.
"Move!" he yelled, pulling Cassidy back just as a massive, blazing orb of nuclear energy shot straight at them.
The ground beneath them exploded as Okuu unleashed her Mega Flare—a ball of pure nuclear energy that obliterated everything in its path.
Reimu was the first to rise into the air, dodging the explosion with graceful acrobatics. Marisa, ever the strategist, threw up a barrier of magic to deflect the attack. But the shockwave was too powerful, and the ground cracked, sending debris flying.
Cassidy gritted her teeth, raising her Holy Light Blades to block the incoming onslaught. "We can't keep dodging like this!" she shouted, slashing through a few stray fireballs. "We need to stop her now!"
Chris, sweat beading down his face, was on the ground, shaking from the intensity of the nuclear power Okuu was unleashing. He heard the voices again—desperate whispers of the souls trapped below, but this time, they were more urgent. They were asking for help.
"Stop it, Okuu!" Chris shouted, trying to reach out to her as she unleashed another volley of nuclear blasts. He couldn't block all of them, and the sheer energy of her attack overwhelmed him, sending him sliding back across the rocky terrain. "Please, listen to me!"
But Okuu was relentless, the fire of the sun blazing in her eyes. "I am the sun incarnate! I WILL burn it all away!"
Reimu and Marisa worked together, launching a combined attack—Reimu used her spiritual barriers to hold off the incoming blasts, while Marisa fired off energy lasers from her Mini-Hakkero.
The beams collided with Okuu's fiery aura, but she barely flinched. "You think your little toys can stop me? I've transcended all of you!" she taunted, her third eye flashing with pure energy.
Sakuya, from the sidelines, clicked her fingers, and time momentarily slowed around her. In that brief moment, she threw a series of daggers toward Okuu's energy cannon, hoping to disrupt her attack. But Okuu barely noticed. Her arm merely absorbed the attacks, the daggers vanishing into the growing power of her cannon.
Chris, still lying on the ground, felt an overwhelming surge of pain, his chest tightening as he struggled to breathe. The sheer power of Okuu's blasts was affecting him physically—he could feel his time powers fluctuating wildly in response to her attacks. Everything was unstable.
"Ugh, I can't keep up!" Chris muttered to himself, pushing himself to his feet, clutching his head in concentration. His body burned from the strain, but he had to do something. The voices in his head were growing louder, and he could feel the weight of the souls' desperate pleas.
Suddenly, a massive geyser of lava erupted in front of Okuu, and a pillar of fire shot toward the sky. Okuu raised her arm, summoning an even larger blast, a massive beam of concentrated nuclear energy aimed directly at the group.
Chris barely had time to react.
"No!" he shouted, pushing himself forward despite the pain. "This needs to end now!"
His hands began to glow with Holy Light, and with all the strength he could muster, he fired a burst of radiant energy toward Okuu, forcing her to dodge. She staggered back, but her third eye glowed brighter, and the beam she had been charging exploded outward, creating a shockwave of pure energy.
"Chris, look out!" Cassidy yelled, rushing toward him.
But it was too late—Chris was hit by the blast, sending him flying back, his body skidding across the heated stone ground. His vision blurred, and everything felt like it was spinning.
Through the haze, he heard a voice—a calm, familiar voice.
"Focus. You can do this."
It was Junko's voice.
Chris's eyes fluttered open. He was in pain, but he felt her presence. The mark on his forehead, that star-shaped seal, flared to life, and the feeling of new strength surged within him. He reached deep into himself, tapping into the power that had been given to him by Junko.
He felt the voices of the souls again—their pain, their anguish, their need for release.
"No more…" Chris whispered through clenched teeth. "I won't let this go on."
At that moment, Okuu's third eye opened wider. She had been caught in the blast as well, but her powers were still immense. Her eyes burned with uncontrolled fury as she aimed her cannon at Chris. "You… YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP ME?!"
But before Okuu could unleash another devastating attack, a **massive spiritual presence entered the battle.
Satori Komeiji appeared on the scene, landing gently in front of Chris and Okuu. Her expression was calm, but her eyes were filled with determination. "Okuu, that's enough!" she said firmly, her third eye glowing with pure power.
The moment Okuu saw Satori, she froze. "Satori…?" she whispered, her voice trembling for the first time.
Satori approached, her expression softening. "You're not a weapon, Okuu. You're my friend. Don't let your power control you."
Okuu's cannon trembled. Her energy began to falter, and for a brief second, the fiery aura around her flickered. "But… I was chosen! I need to be strong!"
Chris stood slowly, his body shaking from the aftereffects of the blast. He looked at Okuu, his heart aching for the girl who had been manipulated by forces far beyond her understanding. "Strength doesn't come from destroying everything, Okuu. It comes from protecting what matters. You matter."
The words seemed to pierce through Okuu's madness. Her cannon arm lowered slowly. The glow in her third eye dimmed. And then… she collapsed to her knees, her enormous power draining away.
"Okuu…" Satori whispered softly, kneeling beside her.
The ground stopped shaking. The fires around them began to fade as Okuu's energy dissipated.
Chris stepped forward, reaching out a hand. "It's over. We're here for you."
The battle was won. But the cost was high, and Okuu, still exhausted, was supported by Satori as they made their way back to the underground.
Reimu, Marisa, and Cassidy approached Chris, who had collapsed to his knees.
"Are you okay?" Cassidy asked gently, her voice full of concern.
Chris nodded slowly, though his body still felt like it was burning. "I'll be fine. Just… needed a moment."
Reimu turned to Satori. "Take care of her. She's lucky you were here."
Satori nodded solemnly. "I'll make sure she's alright. Okuu has a long road to recovery ahead."
Chris watched as the two disappeared into the distance, leaving the molten battlefield behind.
For now, though, the battle was over. But something told him that this was only the beginning of a much bigger challenge.
