Chapter 9 - Meeting Nam

Since Violet left me alone I have to walk back to a nearby town.

Unlike that person, I don't have to worry about looking at the full moon and transforming into a monster since I am a normal person.

So I soaked up the beauty of the night sky since that was the only thing that I could do in this instance.

"Wait?" Then I noticed an object fly over my head in the sky

It was not noticiable if you were not paying attention but according to my eyes an orange orb clearly passed over my head.

"The dragon ball."

I knew what the object was and decided to follow it.

I started running after it in hopes that I could obtain it after it crashed into the ground.

I was not fast enough to keep up with the dragon ball but then I remembered one thing after running for a few minutes.

The dragon balls could not be used immideately after it was used and will be just ordinary rocks until a year have passed.

"How did I even forget such an important rule?" I said in grief.

I was so blinded by greed that I even forgot an important knowledge for a short moment.

I should try to control myself more. If I lose myself to my desire during a critical moment I might die. I almost forgot how many dangerous threats are running around on the planet that I was on.

"I will get them sooner or later,"

"Who are you?" A yellow tiger man asked as soon as I arrived back at the Red Ribbon base the following day.

He was accompanied by a tall dark-skinned man.

"He is our newest member. Colonel Gold. Real name Kei Satori." The tall dark-skinned man said.

"I am staff officer Black. And this is Colonel Yellow." He said as he extended his hand.

I shook his hand since it was rude to reject such a gesture.

"It's nice to meet you," I replied.

Then I walked passed them.

I don't remember such a tiger existing. I thought in my mind as I didn't recall who Yellow was or what role he played in a greater part of the story of Dragon Ball.

I didn't pay much attention to him since if he is that forgetful he should not play an important role or would become a dangerous threat.

Nothing much happens for the next few months.

The dragon balls are still in their stone state so the army still hasn't been discovered.

And the Army didn't make any notable move and seems to be trying to stock up on their supplies.

But there was one positive thing in those few months.

Because I found the location of Fortune Teller Baba's place on the map one day.

She is known for giving out information in exchange for large sums of money.

Her information is pricy but it was accurate so she was able to gather a decent amount of fame.

I decided to seek her out.

That way I could ask her about the location of the place where Master Roshi was.

I was first planning to find a way to learn under the assassin that would be hired by the Red-Ribbon army at first.

That was the reason I joined the army.

But the truth is that I only went with that plan because I don't think I have a way to find the turtle hermit before the world tournment.

But I was not expecting to find the fortune teller's location this easily. Which makes me rethink my plans.

I was able to get some money as a salary from the army. If I could find Master Roshi by offering that money I could separate myself from the army that would collapse sooner or later.

*****

In a place not very far away from the Red Ribbon village.

"Where is this place exactly, I don't remember seeing it on the map," I said as I stopped my bike.

It was a deserted place where there were no trees or any signs of life apart from the humans that lived there.

But there are fields filled with withered crops which shows that the people that lived here tried to grow crops.

"Hey. Kid." I called out to a kid who was standing nearby.

"Huh. Who are you, mister? Did you call me?" He asked.

"Where is this place?" I asked.

"This is a village." He replied.

"Of course, I know it's a village. But what is the name of the Village?" I said to him as I was starting to get a bit irritated.

"Oh. There is no such thing. We just call it a village. Human village to be precise. Since there is another nameless village full of flying beings not very far away from here." The kid said.

"But you can call it Nam's Village." the kid continued.

"Nam?"

I remember such a name.

Nam was a martial artist who fought the greatest hero of the earth while he was in his youth.

"Yeah. He is the strongest villager in the village." the kid replied.

"Red-Ribbon army? What are you people doing here?"

I heard a voice behind me.

I didn't know what came to mind my mind at that time but I instantly drew my pistol and aimed at the place where I heard the voice.

But the pistol was kicked away and I saw a tall brown skin man who had a small red dot on his forehead.

He was wearing a white turban and orange robe similar to the one that Buddhist monks wore.

I tried to punch the man that kicked my pistol away but he blocked my attack with an elbow guard.

I followed up my first attack with an overhead kick which was able to strike him in the face but he was also able to land a punch on my right arm before he was pushed away by my kick.

"Dabu. Are you alright? Did this man do anything to you?" The brown skin man asked.

"You must be Nam," I called out to him.
