As Mei Yoo Jun walked into the office, she grabbed her keys, but then a strange sound came from Ingrid's office. She stopped for a moment, wondering who that was. Shan adjusted his clothes, looking over at Ingrid, who was panting with cum drops on her clothes.
"Well then," Shan said with a smile, "I look forward to our new... relationship, Ingrid."
He left her office, the door clicking softly behind him. Ingrid stood there, a mess, breathing heavily.
As Shan made his way out the door, he almost bumped into Mei Yoo Jun, who was standing right in front of him.
"Hmm? Mr. Wolf? What were you doing in Ms. Mikage's office?" Mei asked, a hint of doubt in her voice.
Shan smiled, his lips curling into a playful grin. "Oh, Ms. Jun. Nothing serious. Ms. Mikage had a bug on her computer and asked me to fix it, that's all."
He said it casually, the poker smile never leaving his face, but Mei couldn't shake the feeling that something else was at play.
As Ingrid panted, she adjusted her attire, pulling her skirt down slightly to better hide the tear in her pantyhose. Taking a deep breath, she stepped out of her office, only to freeze at the sight of her assistant, Mei Yoo Jun.
Her heart skipped a beat.
"...Y-Yoo Jun? Have you been here this whole time?" Ingrid's voice wavered, a mix of fear and concern tightening her throat.
"Oh… um, I just came back because I forgot my house key," Mei Yoo Jun said, shifting slightly.
Ingrid let out a small breath, nodding. "I see… Just be quick. Security might think you're working overtime."
"I will," Mei Yoo Jun replied before hurrying off.
Later, in the streets of Seoul, Shan walked back to his apartment. On the way, he stopped by a convenience store to buy two six-packs of canned soju and some groceries. He paid with his black premium credit card, funded by the 2 billion South Korean Won he earned from his past death (see Chapter 3 for details).
When he entered his apartment, it felt small—something he hadn't really noticed despite living there for two years. He decided it was time for a change.
"Alright, time for a new place," he said to himself.
Since the weekend was coming up, it was the perfect time for him to look for a new place to live. After taking a bath and having dinner, he opened a can of soju and sat down with his laptop. He browsed through listings for condominium penthouses.
One caught his eye, a penthouse on Gangnam Street, just 4 blocks away from where Shan was currently living. It had a great view, modern design, and even a balcony with an open-closed pool.
Shan nodded to himself. "This looks good."
Shan typed in his information and scheduled a meeting with the salesperson for next week. Satisfied, he closed his laptop, turned on the TV, and began watching a geography show about how wolves hunt their prey with patience and precision.
Shan watched as the wolf pounced on the deer, his mind drifting into a vivid fantasy. He imagined himself as the predator and Ingrid as his prey taking her from behind, kissing the nape of her neck, nibbling her shoulder, and cupping her breast while teasing it. The thought alone made him grin, eager for all the things he planned to do to her.
With the video in his grasp, he knew Ingrid was now trapped and completely at his mercy. The power of time reversal surged within him, undeniable and absolute.
"Hmph.., thanks, Mom."
He muttered, gazing at the ceiling. He recalled how she had tried to sacrifice him, only for her plans to be disrupted. Now, the power of tume reversal was his, but can be use if he dies.
He tossed the empty soju can into the trash and of the TV, then brushed his teeth to get rid of the soju smell. After that, he went to bed.
The following Monday morning, a notice appeared on the bulletin board: Shan's transfer had been canceled-recognized for his valuable contributions to the company.
A wave of murmurs spread through the workplace.
"Canceled?" one worker muttered.
"Well, that's a first," another said, raising an eyebrow.
A woman leaned toward her colleague, lowering her voice. "And here I thought he was leaving because of that… incident with the coin in the ladies' room. How does something like that just get canceled?"
Some tried to see it from Shan's point of view.
"Maybe it wasn't even Shan… could've been a mistake?" someone suggested.
"I still think he's a total creep," muttered one of the female colleagues.
"Hey, watch what you're saying, He's right there. And we don't even know for sure," a male colleague interjected.
"Yes, ma'am." Said to woman who apolgize to another female collaugeu.
Rae Yoorin was still in question from last week on how Shan's tranfer got canceled.
"The Hell....?" Said Rae Yoorin in murmur thought.
In Ingrid's office, whispers and curious glances drifted in like a breeze through the window. She noticed the murmurs, the silent questions hanging in the air.
With a fleeting glance, she caught sight of Shan. Calm, unbothered, and immersed in his reports and calls from clients, his earphones sealing him off from the world.
Later that evening, after work, Rae Yoorin was in her boyfriend's car, caught up in the heat of the moment. Between breaths, she complained about Shan's canceled transfer, frustration lacing her voice even as they tangled together.
"I can't believe that asshole's transfer got canceled," Rae Yoorin complained to her boyfriend, Gang Si Won, her voice laced with frustration.
"Babe, please… ah… You're gonna dry me up," groaned her boyfriend, Gang Si Won.
Rae Yoorin continued,
"I just don't get it. I definitely heard The Manager—" Rae Yoorin paused, referring to Ingrid's new position (as mentioned in Chapter 2), "—and the Director talking about him a few days ago."
"God, just leave it. If it happened, it happened. Why are you still going on about him?" Gang Si Won sighed.
"!?
Wait..." Yoorin muttered, her eyes narrowing.
"Huh? Why?" Gang Si Won asked, glancing at her in confusion as she paused mid way during their intimate moment.
Rae Yoorin's breath hitched as her eyes flicked to the rearview mirror. Her movements halted completely.
"Manager Ingrid… and Shan?" she mumbled under her breath, watching as the two slipped into Ingrid's car a short distance away.
Gang Si Won groaned. "Babe, seriously? What now?"
"Hurry up and follow them, Si Won!" Rae Yoorin demanded, her voice urgent.
"Damn it!" Gang Si Won muttered, running a hand through his hair before quickly starting the car.
"I was so close, you know. No thanks to you," Gang Si Won muttered, gripping the steering wheel as he trailed Ingrid's Porsche ahead.
"Quiet," Sai Rae Yoorin whispered, eyes locked on their target.
""Actually, that cow"—referring to Ingrid's assistant, Mei Yoo Jun—"said something to me about Shan and Ingrid today. Something about them inside Manager Ingrid's office last Friday." Rae Yoorin said.
"Cow?" Gang Si Won repeated, picturing Mei Yoo Jun as an actual cow for a moment.
Gang Si Won kept his eyes on the road, lips curling in mild amusement. "You're really that surprised? Ingrid isn't exactly known for her good judgment."
Rae Yoorin crossed her arms. "Still, Shan? Of all people? The guy practically worships the ground she walks on. It's pathetic."
Gang Si Won smirked. "Maybe that's what she likes. A guy who follows her around like a lost puppy. I mean, no offense but Shan had great respect for her before the whole ladies room incident and the transfer notice."
Rae Yoorin scoffed. "Disgusting."
Gang Si Won hummed, tapping his fingers against the wheel. "And you think there's more to it?"
Rae Yoorin leaned back against the seat. "I know there's more to it. The way Ingrid acted today… she was different. Guilty, maybe."
Gang Si Won's eyes narrowed slightly as he followed the Porsche ahead. "Then let's see just how deep this goes."
Sai Rae Yoorin huffed. "But still, I'm sure she can do better than that."
Gang Si Won nodded, keeping his focus on the road. "I agree. She's still hot, even at 35."
Rae Yoorin's eyes flickered with something—comparison, maybe even a hint of jealousy—at his remark. She crossed her arms tighter, lips pressing into a thin line.
"You checking her out now?" she asked, her tone sharper than intended.
Gang Si Won stuttered and apologized, "Uh...uh..I..mean... . Sorry.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at a luxury hotel, parking at a discreet distance. From their vantage point, they watched as Shan and Ingrid stepped out of her sleek Porsche, handing the keys to the chauffeur.
Gang Si Won leaned back with a smirk. "You know what? I think I understand why she's with Shan."
Rae Yoorin raised a brow. "Oh? And why is that?"
Gang Si Won exhaled, tilting his head slightly. "Well… I was in the bathroom taking a leak, and Shan was right next to me."
Rae Yoorin blinked. "And?"
Gang Si Won shrugged. "I gotta admit, from a man's point of view… his dick is huge. Like 9 to 11, maybe? I don't know, just from a glimpse. But honestly? Mad respect for Mr. Wolf himself."
He nodded, as if in genuine admiration, while Rae Yoorin stared at him in sheer disbelief.
"Disgusting," she scoffed. "I don't get how men can be this simple-minded on comparing dicks to another."
Gang Si Won just chuckled. "Hey, credit where it's due."
Rae Yoorin narrowed her eyes as she watched Ingrid and Shan walk into the hotel lobby. "Let's follow them inside."
"Inside?" Gang Si Won echoed, raising a brow.
"I need to be sure," Rae Yoorin said, a slight smile creeping onto her lips. "If I'm going to get rid of that fucking pervert once and for all."
Gang Si Won glanced at her, intrigued. "And here I thought I was the reckless one."
She simply smirked. "Try and keep up."
Without another word, she pushed open the car door and stepped out.
"Though I do feel a little sorry for Manager Ingrid… but it's her own fault for being with someone like him. Ha," Rae Yoorin said with a smirk.
Gang Si Won glanced at her, shivering slightly. "…You give me the weirdest chills sometimes, babe."
Rae Yoorin chuckled. "Good. Keeps things interesting, don't you think?"
Gang Si Won sighed, shaking his head. "Remind me never to get on your bad side."
"Smart man," she teased before stepping toward the hotel entrance.
As Rae Yoorin and Gang Si Won spotted Ingrid and Shan at the hotel reception desk, Rae Yoorin swiftly pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures.
"Really? You're taking photos of them?" Gang Si Won muttered, glancing at her.
"I have to," Rae Yoorin replied, her voice steady. "Proof. Something to use against either of them later."
Gang Si Won sighed, shaking his head. "You're ruthless, you know that?"
Rae Yoorin lowered her phone, a sly grin forming. "And yet, you're still here."
Gang Si Won chuckled. "Touche, Guess I like the thrill."
Ingrid suddenly stopped in her tracks, her eyes flickering toward the entrance of the elevator. "Hold on," she muttered.
Shan tensed beside her, lowering his voice. "Yeah… someone's here, right?"
Ingrid's gaze swept the area once more before she nodded. "Agreed."
Rae Yoorin and Gang Si Won leaned forward by the buolding pillar where a small tree pant pot is, trying to get a better view of where Ingrid and Shan had gone.
"Shit! Do you see them?" Rae Yoorin whispered urgently.
Gang Si Won scanned the area, his eyes darting around. "No… they just disappeared."
Rae Yoorin clenched her jaw. "Damn it. They must've noticed something."
Gang Si Won sighed. "Great. Now what? Do we keep looking or back off?"
Rae Yoorin's eyes narrowed as she weighed her options. "We keep looking. I'm not letting them slip away that easily."
"And what pleasant surprise to see you here, Ms. Yoorin and Mr. Si Won."
Rae Yoorin and Gang Si Won froze. Slowly, they turned around—only to find Ingrid and Shan standing right behind them.
Wondering what will they tell them as their paths has now crossed.
