Synopsis
What if the rules of reality weren’t just meant to be followed—but rewritten? When MC awakens in an unfamiliar world, they have no memory of who they are or how they got there. All they know is one thing—the System that governs this reality does not recognize them. > ERROR: Unidentified Entity Detected. Status: Anomaly. Immediate Purge Initiated. Hunted by enforcers known as Code Reapers, MC quickly learns that they were never meant to exist in this world. But unlike the countless others bound by the System’s rigid laws, MC has something no one else does—Rewrite, the ability to alter reality itself. Each use of Rewrite bends the fabric of the world to their will, making the impossible possible. But there’s a cost. With every manipulation, the System degrades, and MC’s Deviation Meter rises. If it reaches too high, they won’t just be erased from the System—they might destroy it entirely. Forced to flee into a place even the System doesn’t recognize—an Unmapped Zone outside of reality—MC discovers they aren’t the first anomaly. Others exist, hidden in the cracks of a broken world, each with their own forbidden powers. Some want to help. Others want to use them. And some want to tear the entire System down. As MC unravels the truth behind their existence, they begin to question: Was their arrival truly an accident? Who—or what—created The Infinite System? And most importantly, if they can rewrite reality itself… what happens if they choose to rewrite the System? With every choice, every fight, and every Rewrite, MC walks the fine line between breaking free… or breaking everything. In a world where rules define existence, what happens when someone refuses to follow them?

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Awakening

Prologue

Darkness. Silence. An overwhelming sense of nothingness.

Then—text. Bright, burning into the void of MC's mind.

> Welcome to The Infinite System.

Initializing User... ERROR.

Unrecognized Entity Detected.

Adjusting Parameters…

Class: Undefined

Status: Anomaly

Warning: The System does not recognize you. Proceed with caution.

A cold rush filled MC's senses. For a moment, they weren't sure if they were dreaming or dead. But as the blackness lifted, they realized they were lying on solid ground—if it could be called that. The surface beneath them felt both real and unreal, shifting between something hard like stone and something weightless like air.

MC gasped for breath, their lungs burning as if they hadn't been used in ages. Their hands pressed against the ground, and when they looked up, the world around them came into focus.

A sky of swirling, endless galaxies. Land that seemed to stretch infinitely, covered in geometric patterns that pulsed with energy. Strange floating symbols flickered in the air, shifting and rearranging like code written into reality itself.

> Location: System Initialization Zone

MC staggered to their feet, their heart pounding. The last thing they remembered was… what? Their name? Their past? It was a blur, slipping away like sand through fingers.

That was when the voice spoke.

> "Welcome, anomaly. You should not exist."

MC spun around. A figure stood before them—no, hovered. A being of light and shadow, its form shifting between human and something… beyond human. It had no face, only a shifting void where one should be.

MC's pulse quickened. This wasn't a dream.

> "You are outside the parameters of The Infinite System. You have no predefined class. No assigned role. You are not supposed to be here."

MC swallowed hard, fists clenched. "Then what am I?"

The being tilted its head, as if considering.

> "A mistake."

Then, without warning, it attacked.

---

First Trial

A wave of energy slammed into MC, sending them flying back. They hit the ground hard, pain flaring through their body. It felt real. Too real.

Instinct kicked in. MC rolled to the side just as another blast of energy shattered the ground where they had been lying. The being floated closer, its presence suffocating.

> "Erasing anomaly."

MC scrambled to their feet. Their mind screamed at them to run, but a new instinct, something deeper, something primal, told them to fight. But how?

Then—another system prompt flickered before them.

> Choose your first ability.

WARNING: As an anomaly, your choice is unrestricted.

Three options appeared, their descriptions shifting:

1. Phase Shift – The ability to move between moments, dodging attacks.

2. Entropy Surge – A blast of chaotic energy, unpredictable but powerful.

3. Rewrite – The ability to alter minor details of reality… at an unknown cost.

MC didn't hesitate. Their gut told them the last option was different. Dangerous. But necessary.

> Ability Chosen: Rewrite.

The world around them shimmered. The being raised its hand for another attack.

MC focused. Time seemed to slow. The symbols in the air twisted, bending to their will.

Rewrite: The enemy's attack does not hit me.

Reality shifted. The attack missed—no, it never happened.

The being faltered. It didn't understand what had just occurred.

MC grinned, a spark of something awakening within them.

They were no longer defenseless.

They were rewriting the rules.

And The Infinite System had no idea what it had just unleashed.

---

A Power Not Meant to Exist

MC barely had a moment to process what had just happened before the System flickered again.

> ERROR. Unauthorized Manipulation Detected.

WARNING: Anomaly Breaching System Parameters.

The world trembled. The floating symbols around them began shifting erratically, their once-organized patterns breaking into chaotic, meaningless strings of data.

The being of light and shadow hissed.

> "This is forbidden."

It moved again, faster than before, a blur of motion as another wave of destruction rippled toward MC.

MC didn't think. They acted.

Rewrite: The attack dissipates into harmless light.

The wave of destruction shattered into golden dust before reaching them. MC exhaled sharply. This power was real. And it wasn't just defense—it was control.

But something was wrong. A sharp pain stabbed through their skull, and a line of text appeared in their vision.

> WARNING: Unstable Rewrite Usage.

Cost Applied: System Deviation +1%

MC's breath hitched. Cost? What did that mean?

They didn't have time to question it. The being was still there, its form flickering, its presence more hostile than ever.

> "Unacceptable."

For the first time, the ground beneath them trembled—not from the being's attack, but from the System itself. A new voice echoed, deeper, colder.

> ERROR. ERROR. ERROR.

Anomaly cannot remain.

Initiating Emergency Purge.

A rumble shook the entire world. The sky, once filled with galaxies, darkened. The horizon cracked like glass, revealing something beyond it—something vast, something waiting.

MC's heart pounded. This wasn't just a fight anymore.

The System itself wanted them gone.

And it was about to erase them completely.

System Purge

The World is Breaking

The sky was tearing apart. Cracks spread like lightning across the infinite void above, revealing glimpses of something vast and incomprehensible beyond it. The very foundation beneath MC's feet trembled, shifting between solidity and nothingness.

The System was unraveling.

> EMERGENCY PURGE INITIATED.

Anomaly Detected. Removing from System…

MC barely had time to react before the ground beneath them collapsed.

They fell.

Not in the way gravity dictated, but as if reality itself had given up on holding them. Their body twisted through fractured space, tumbling through glimpses of places that weren't meant to be seen. Cities floating in endless white voids. Towers constructed entirely of shifting numbers. A battlefield frozen mid-destruction, warriors locked in eternal combat.

MC reached out, trying to grab onto something—anything.

Their fingertips brushed against a floating symbol, and—

Rewrite: I do not fall into oblivion.

Reality obeyed. Their body snapped into existence at the edge of a new platform—somewhere, anywhere but the nothingness below.

MC hit the ground hard, gasping for breath. Their vision blurred as more System prompts flashed.

> Unauthorized Manipulation Detected.

Rewrite Deviation +2%

Pain lanced through their skull again. A reminder that Rewrite wasn't free.

But they were alive.

---

The System's Executioners

MC staggered to their feet, taking in their new surroundings. The platform they had landed on was a massive, floating structure—half ruins, half machine. Strange mechanical towers stretched toward the sky, pulsating with an eerie blue light.

And they weren't alone.

A sound—like metal scraping against metal—echoed through the air.

MC turned.

Three figures emerged from the shadows. Unlike the light-and-shadow being from before, these were solid. Armored. Their movements were precise, unnatural, like puppets being controlled by invisible strings. Their eyes glowed with an unmistakable intensity.

> System Enforcers Detected.

Designation: Code Reapers

MC's breath caught. Even without a tutorial, they instinctively knew—these weren't normal enemies. These were executioners. Sent to erase anything that violated the System's rules.

And MC was their target.

> WARNING: Rewrite Usage Detected. Lethal Force Authorized.

The Reapers moved.

The first one lunged forward, a jagged blade materializing in its hand, its edge flickering between reality and code.

MC had no weapon. No armor. Just Rewrite.

They focused.

Rewrite: The blade shatters before it touches me.

The air around them twisted. The Reaper's weapon fractured mid-swing, breaking apart into a cascade of glowing fragments.

But MC barely had time to celebrate. The second Reaper raised its hand, and a massive pressure crushed down on them. Their knees buckled.

> System Suppression Activated. Reducing Anomaly Stability.

A deep chill ran through MC's body. The System was actively trying to erase them. Their vision blurred as more prompts flooded their mind.

> Rewrite Deviation +4%

Warning: Excessive Use May Result in System Collapse.

MC gritted their teeth. The cost was rising. But if they didn't act now, there wouldn't be a later.

Rewrite: The System Suppression does not affect me.

For a split second, nothing happened. Then—the crushing weight vanished.

MC exhaled sharply. Their body was still shaking, but they were standing.

The Reapers hesitated.

And then—one of them spoke.

> "Anomaly... evolving. Escalating countermeasures."

Their forms shifted, new weapons forming in their hands.

The fight wasn't over. It was just beginning.

---

The First Escape

MC had seconds to decide. They could try to fight—but every use of Rewrite pushed them further into dangerous territory. The more they manipulated the System, the more unstable things became.

They needed another way.

Then they saw it—a glowing rift in the air, just beyond the Reapers. A tear in reality, leading somewhere else.

A single system message flickered.

> Unsafe Exit Detected. Escape Probability: 12%

Twelve percent. Not great. But better than nothing.

MC ran.

The Reapers reacted instantly, their movements precise, mechanical. Blades of light and energy cut through the air, missing MC by inches.

One final strike came straight at their back.

MC had no time to dodge.

Rewrite: I reach the portal before the strike lands.

Reality twisted. The attack never connected.

MC dived into the portal.

And the world went white.

---

A New Beginning

When MC came to, they were somewhere different. Somewhere wrong.

The air was thick, heavy. The sky above was a swirling abyss, neither day nor night. Towering structures stretched into the distance, their shapes shifting when not directly looked at.

A new system message appeared, but this one was different. The text was warped, glitching in and out of existence.

> LOCATION: UNKNOWN.

WARNING: You have entered an Unmapped Zone.

ERROR: This Area Does Not Exist.

MC swallowed hard.

They had escaped the Reapers.

But they weren't safe.

Because they had landed in a place that shouldn't exist—a place even the System didn't recognize.

And something else was here, watching them.
