Lucas was in disbelief as he hadn't expected his wife to beg to follow him. He thought she was scared of him because of dark and monstrous aura, but here she is pleading and begging to follow him. He had the urge to refuse her request, but something in him, something strong and powerful was holding him back from rejecting her.
He cupped her both cheeks and parted his lips to talk in a gentle manner slowly caressing her cheeks.

She couldn't believe he was actually leaving her here all by herself with strangers she doesn't even know She couldn't bear it and she kept shaking her head in denial. She couldn't bring herself to talk as the lurked tears began roll down her soft and plump cheeks.
Lucas felt his heart clenched tightly seeing her spilled tears. He was surprised she was crying for him,but yet the zeal to protect his wife from every form of danger is high especially when what he saw Happened at the forbidden river scared him a little.

"Will you be alright?" She asked.
" Yes. Nothing will happen to me... He paused and smirked mischievously, I will tell you downstairs." Catherine cheeks flushed pink as she couldn't help but smile.
Lucas held her hand and both of them went back downstairs to meet the duke and the duchess.

Catherine could see how Lucas was making sure she was safe from danger and as though, she had called him in her heart. Lucas suddenly pulled by her waist, tightening his hold around her. Catherine's heart skipped beats in violent waves as her cheeks flushed red like a tomato.
She tried to calm her racing heart down cause she knew everyone watching them were vampires and they could hear her heartbeat ferociously in her chest.
Lucas held the back of head softly before he leaned in and slowly captured her lips. Catherine's eyes widened in disbelief, her heart was pounding violently in her chest as if her heart will escape from it's ribcage. She couldn't believe that Lucas will go as far as kissing her in front of everyone. Not just everyone, but his soldiers and the duke and his wife. She was still shock until she could feel the fluttering feeling building up in the pit of her stomach making her forget the embarrassing situation she was in.
Oh no, his lips were soft and cold, yet but felt warm on her lips. She subconsciously clutched his shoulder as Lucas kissed her slowly, and very tenderly. He deepened the kiss as he pried her mouth open sliding his wet hot tongue inside her mouth.
Catherine felt as though a fire has been ignited in her body that is ready to go up in pleasurable flames.
He licked and sucked her tongue kissing every nook and cranny of her mouth. Catherine wanted to kiss him back with so much gentle vigour he was kissing her.
She mimicked the way his tongue licked and sucked her tongue and try to do the same, but he pulled sucked hard on her tongue earning a soft moan from her lips before pulling out in shaky breaths. His dark black grey eyes glimmered dangerously.
Catherine breath hitch as her gaze was fixated on him before reality dawned on her that she freaking moan in front of them. Her eyes dilated her heartbeat increased to the highest peak of no control.
As if sensing her nervousness, Lucas pulled her in for a hug before he whispered In her ear sending shock waves to her body,
"....nothing will happen to me...now that I have tasted your sweet and soft lips my wife", and Catherine was hundred percent sure her whole body turned red in pure embarrassment.
