Chapter 105 - Chapter 105: Another Attack

On Sunday evening, after practicing various combat Spells, Light walked out of the Room of Requirement, slightly fatigued.

Currently, there was a basilisk lurking in the shadows, wandering around the castle. He didn't dare to exhaust all his energy.

But as it turned out, the more you dread something, the more likely it'll happen.

Light, who had conserved some energy, had just walked down the stairs and was at the corner of the corridor.

He bumped into a wizard completely hidden under a large black robe, emitting a familiar black mist.

If that didn't say much, the huge snake beside it, covered in burn marks, had already told Light the identity of the wizard ahead.

Upon realizing that the person ahead was Voldemort and the basilisk, Light instantly lowered his head and drew his wand.

"Sectumsempra"

An invisible wave shot out from the wand and slashed towards the front of the man in the black robe in the blink of an eye.

However, the man in the black robe was also quick. After realizing that he was slower than Light in drawing his wand, he immediately let out an unintelligible hiss.

The basilisk immediately slithered forward, relying on its beastly instincts to detect the flight path of the invisible wave.

It forcefully blocked the attack with its second venomous fang. The severed fang hit the ground, making a clear sound.

"Parseltongue?" Facing the basilisk in front that was staring intently at him, a surging Fiendfyre curse gushed out from his wand.

It blocked the basilisk's deadly gaze and at the same time devoured the Spells cast by the man in the black robe.

"No, the power of this Spell is off." Looking at the increasingly surging Fiendfyre curse in front of him, Light instantly sensed something was wrong.

Making Horcruxes enhances Dark Magic. The Spells cast by the man in the black robe ahead had strengthened the Fiendfyre curse.

Did that mean that the person ahead had been completely devoured by the Horcruxes and had become a vessel for Voldemort?

Before Light could think further, in the terrified roar of the basilisk, an orange light net extinguished Light's Fiendfyre curse.

When the Fiendfyre curse was extinguished, Light immediately closed his eyes. At the same time, he used the tactic he had specifically researched to deal with such a situation.

"Pili Baozha!"

"Shatter to Pieces"

"Diffindo"

"Thunderbolt"

"Chain Explosion"

Five terrifying and lethal Spells, with the support of the wand's aiming, instantly sent the basilisk, which was acting as a meat shield, flying.

Then, under the thrust of the Chain Explosion, it smashed heavily behind the man in the black robe.

The basilisk, which had strong magic resistance, didn't die even after taking five terrifying Dark Magic Spells head - on.

It wriggled on the ground, covered in blood, and let out Painful hisses.

After disabling the basilisk's combat ability, Light didn't let down his guard at all. He immediately opened his eyes and cast defensive Spells on himself.

"Impediment Jinx"

"Iron Armor Charm"

"Solid as a Rock Charm"

At the same time, he stared intently at the vessel of the Dark Lord in front of him.

The target of Light's vigilance stood still on the spot when the basilisk was sent flying, as if it were a statue.

Seeing this, Light felt a sense of unease in his heart, but his wand in his hand didn't stop.

"Petrificus Totalus"

"Stupefy"

Two Spells instantly hit the black-robed man who didn't resist. The person hit by the Spells instantly slumped to the ground.

The basilisk, which had been pretending to be dead behind, seemed to have received a signal. It immediately rolled over and quickly slipped into a crack.

The sudden change in front of him happened in an instant, leaving Light completely unable to react.

Meanwhile, Filch's hysterical voice came from afar.

"Who, who on earth is it!"

Obviously, the commotion of the fight here just now had attracted him.

"Perfect, use Filch to test if this black-robed man is really out for the count."

Glancing at the black-robed man lying on the ground, Light cast the Disillusionment Charm on himself. After erasing his traces and smell, he hid beside the corner and quietly watched how things would develop.

Filch, looking menacing, and the ghost Nick holding an axe appeared in front of the black-robed man lying on the ground at the same time.

Seeing the black-robed man on the ground, Filch's eyes turned red. He was like a hound seeing a helpless prey.

He almost wanted to pounce on the fallen man right away and tear him apart.

But Nick blocked Filch's move with the axe, not allowing him to act. It seemed that he was quite afraid of the fallen man.

"Filch, go and call the professors to handle this. He's not someone we can deal with."

Hearing Nick's warning, Filch wasn't worried at all. Instead, he let out a crazy yell: "It's him! It must be him who hurt my cat!"

He tried to pounce forward but was stopped by Nick. Just then, another scream came from afar.

"Filch, you're here! Hurry up, a young wizard has been attacked." Peeves screeched as he flew. When he saw Filch, he immediately swooped down on him.

"What? What's going on?" The successive changes totally confused Filch.

Not only him, but Light hiding aside was also stunned.

"Damn it! It must be this black-robed man who did it."

Filch gritted his teeth and blocked Nick instead. He told Peeves to lift the black robe of the black-robed man on the ground.

At first, Peeves didn't want to give a damn about Filch, but Nick's dissuasion stirred up its rebellious spirit.

It flew over directly, lifted the black robe, revealing a mess of long red hair.

Light, who had been paying close attention to the black-robed man, almost instantly knew who the fallen person was.

"Ginny Weasley! Why don't I feel that surprised."

"It's a surprise, but it makes sense. After all, Ginny and her mother are both die-hard fans of Lockhart."

"Even if Lockhart's reputation has crashed at the school, as die-hard fans, it's not that easy for them to accept this reality."

Looking at the increasingly chaotic scene and the urgent footsteps approaching in the distance, Light let out a soft sigh and turned to leave.

On his way back to the dormitory, he kept recalling the sudden encounter just now.

"The Horcruxes should have just been controlling Ginny. So when facing me, it could only rely on the basilisk. Being able to cast All Spells End once should be its limit."

Thinking of the basilisk's smooth escape route, Light felt a bit regretful that he hadn't taken the opportunity to kill off the injured basilisk.

The Horcruxes that controlled Ginny should have been transferred to the basilisk when the basilisk blocked the path.

"So, Voldemort has gone back into the shadows again. But now we also know that he can only act through the basilisk."

"Then, as long as I deal with the basilisk, he'll have no more tricks up his sleeve."

After making the decision, Light, who finally felt relieved, went back to the dormitory to rest easily.

The next day, news spread that someone had been Attacked again.

This time, two people were Attacked, Ginny Weasley and Colin Creevey.

This time, not only were the Muggle wizards scared, but even some pure - bloods with less prominent family backgrounds panicked.
