Chapter 195 - Lumine: How Wonderful!

Keqing rolled her eyes at Jiang Chen's words.

This wasn't the first—or even the tenth—time he'd brought this up.

She knew he meant well, but her habits wouldn't let her slack off.

"Do as you please."

"Here are the documents."

"Stop bullying others—Lady Havria is still a god. Look how much you've exploited her!"

At this point, Jiang Chen dumped everything on Havria.

Who's the real Tianquan here?

Might as well let Havria take the position instead.

Keqing couldn't help but grumble internally.

Especially recently—Jiang Chen kept disappearing for days, leaving all the work to Havria.

It was downright unprofessional.

You're the Tianquan! How can you act like this?!

"It's fine. I don't mind."

"Besides, it's not troublesome at all."

Havria, however, seemed entirely unbothered.

Keqing sighed and dropped the subject.

Fine. Do whatever you want.

With that, she turned to chat with Ayaka instead.

No one dwelled on the matter further. Havria skimmed through the files—most of the work was already handled.

All Jiang Chen needed to do was sign.

After flipping through them, Havria chuckled and handed the stack back to him.

"Just needs your signature."

"Keqing's already taken care of most of it."

Jiang Chen blinked.

Wow. Keqing even did this much?

He quickly reviewed the documents—true enough, they were practically complete.

Just a few signatures, and he was done.

Keqing had even annotated everything for him.

Efficient. Reliable.

…And way too overworked.

"Keqing, from now on, just handle these directly."

"Sign your own name—it's the same anyway."

"No need to bring them back for me."

Keqing, mid-conversation with Ayaka, whipped her head around.

"Now you can't even be bothered to sign?!"

This guy! The audacity!

Was he trying to get fired?!

"I'll authorize it. I've got bigger projects ahead."

"You saw the group chat—next up are the power grid and Teleport Waypoints."

"Those are massive undertakings. I can't split focus on minor paperwork."

"Besides, with you here, I trust things will run smoothly."

If Keqing refused to rest, Jiang Chen might as well delegate more.

To leave Teyvat, he needed to speed up his plans.

So far, most of his innovations hadn't reached the general public.

It was time to change that.

Electric vehicles were ready for mass production.

Next, he'd establish the power grid and adapt modern tech for Teyvat's unique energy systems.

Keqing fell silent, then nodded.

"Fine. For Liyue."

She couldn't argue—those projects were crucial.

Once completed, they'd benefit every household in Liyue.

For the people's welfare, she'd shoulder the burden.

Jiang Chen grinned.

"Havria, coordinate with Keqing from now on."

"I'll focus on research."

"My alchemy skills are top-tier, after all!"

With Keqing handling logistics, he could fully dedicate himself to development.

Perfect.

Now, if only he could also recruit Ganyu…

Has Old Tian recovered yet?

If so, maybe he could return to office.

Jiang Chen had science to do.

Havria listened calmly, her thoughts unreadable.

Then, with deliberate seriousness, she added:

"I'll report to you every night."

"You concentrate on your research."

Guizhong's lips twitched.

"Every night," huh?

She shot Havria a knowing look.

Havria's ears turned red under her gaze.

…Did Guizhong figure me out?

If she knew what Havria was planning, she'd have roasted her.

Your intentions are painfully obvious.

Under normal circumstances, Guizhong might've missed it.

But after their little scheme?

Havria's every move was transparent.

"Sure!"

"That works."

Jiang Chen agreed without suspicion.

A nightly debrief sounded reasonable.

With matters settled, the group relaxed and enjoyed the evening.

Later, Jiang Chen received a message from Lumine:

[Not coming home tonight!]

[At Cuijue Slope now.]

[Gonna slay the Pyro Regisvine tomorrow.]

[Its materials should be perfect for alchemy.]

Her husband was destined to unify Teyvat—as his empress, she couldn't lag behind!

Maybe she'd go down in history as the Greatest Empress of All Time?

The thought alone made Lumine's grin unstoppable.

How wonderful!

...

Though disappointed, Jiang Chen didn't complain.

Guess I'll take the night off.

After some casual chatter, he retreated to his room.

Tomorrow, he'd collaborate with Albedo on alchemy.

Time to accelerate the plan.

Oh, and he needed to contact Aether—

Send over a batch of dead god remnants.

Test-summon a few.

The unruly ones?

Straight to the power plants.

Better than nuclear fusion.
