Chapter 152 - Dismantling Scaramouche to Make a New Body for the Shogun?

Makoto quickly took charge of affairs at Tenshukaku, while Ei began handling matters concerning the Raiden Shogun.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chen and his group were left in the care of Kamisato Ayaka, who took on the responsibility of hosting them.

With this, Jiang Chen's business in Inazuma was essentially settled.

However, they decided to stay a little longer to observe how things would unfold in Inazuma.

After all, the coming events promised to be quite… interesting, didn't they?

The moment Makoto returned to Tenshukaku, she immediately summoned all high-ranking officials for a meeting.

When those officials saw Makoto—and Ei standing behind her—every single one of them was stunned.

Two Raiden Shoguns?!

Many felt their hearts drop.

An ominous premonition crept up on them.

Those with guilty consciences began to panic.

What's going on? Why are there two Electro Archons?!

"Is everyone here?"

Makoto wasted no time. After sweeping her gaze over the assembly, she ordered the Shogunate Army to arrest them all on the spot.

Then, she issued a series of confiscation orders—seizing their assets, properties, and everything in between.

And she put Kamisato Ayato in charge of overseeing the entire operation.

When Ayato received the news, he was initially exasperated.

But he quickly regained his composure.

Because he knew—Inazuma was about to change for the better.

Without hesitation, Ayato accepted the task.

He had long held grievances against the other noble families.

Now that he had the opportunity, why not tear them down completely?

Thus, Ayato left no stone unturned, digging up every last bit of wealth those families had hoarded.

The amount of Mora recovered did not disappoint Makoto.

But it also infuriated her.

Just how much had these parasites embezzled?!

With leeches like these, how could Inazuma ever prosper?

So, she confiscated everything—their assets, properties, and all ill-gotten gains.

Those involved were imprisoned, and the worst offenders were executed without mercy.

Makoto may have been gentle, but she was not soft.

For those who betrayed their nation, she showed no leniency.

Beyond that, she personally traveled to Watatsumi Island to negotiate with the rebels.

Yes, she brought Ei along.

Naturally, the resistance surrendered immediately.

Are you kidding? Two Electro Archons showing up at your doorstep?

Anyone who still dared to resist would be outright suicidal.

Once these matters were settled, Makoto officially announced:

The Sakoku Decree was lifted.

The Vision Hunt Decree was abolished.

Those who had their Visions confiscated could now reclaim them freely.

Additionally, Makoto used the seized Mora to rebuild Inazuma.

She implemented a work-for-relief policy, restoring houses and islands damaged by the war and isolation.

In just this short time, Makoto had single-handedly revived the entire nation.

Ei had a lot to learn from her sister's methods.

The citizens rejoiced—Inazuma was finally free from isolation.

And now, there was work to be done.

Moreover, Makoto had the crimes of those noble families publicly exposed.

She pinned all the blame for Inazuma's suffering squarely on their shoulders.

A perfect use of their remaining "value."

After all, it wasn't as if she was lying.

They had colluded with the Fatui.

They had betrayed Inazuma.

Once the announcement spread, the people of Inazuma despised those traitors.

The same went for the Fatui.

They received the same treatment as in Mondstadt and Liyue.

Many Fatui agents had been transferred from those two nations to Inazuma.

Now, faced with this situation, they could only curse in frustration.

Next up—expulsion, right?

We've seen this playbook before.

Even Scaramouche was left dumbfounded.

How did things turn out like this?!

Is this really something she would do?

Did someone beat some sense into her?

Recalling the events he had witnessed recently, Scaramouche's brow furrowed deeply.

"What the hell?!"

"Damn it all!!"

This feeling was unbearable—utterly unbearable.

The situation was spiraling out of control, and he hated it.

Just as he was pondering his next move—

BOOM!

A thunderclap split the sky.

The next instant, lightning struck directly where Scaramouche stood.

Sensing the sudden surge of energy, his expression twisted in alarm.

"Baal!!"

He roared in fury and charged outside.

At this point, he was still using Electro—not the Anemo Vision he would later receive.

Sure enough, outside, he saw Ei waiting for him.

"Damn you!"

Ei, however, looked at Scaramouche with slight confusion.

The puppet I created back then?

The moment this thought crossed her mind, her gaze turned icy.

Without hesitation, she attacked.

Dealing with Scaramouche was a direct order from Makoto.

After learning about his actions from Jiang Chen, she had tasked Ei with handling him.

"You made him—so you clean up the mess."

"No matter the circumstances, his crimes in Inazuma are unforgivable."

Thus, Ei had come.

Jiang Chen had initially wanted to step in himself—after all, he really wanted to beat the crap out of Scaramouche.

But both Makoto and Ei refused.

In the end, Jiang Chen was from Liyue—it wasn't appropriate for him to intervene.

This was Inazuma's internal affair.

And so, Jiang Chen could only sigh in disappointment.

But if Ei was the one taking action, Scaramouche's fate would likely be even worse, right?

As expected—

During the battle, Scaramouche was utterly crushed.

Ei showed no mercy.

By the time she dragged him back, Scaramouche had been reduced to a pile of parts.

Looking at the dismantled puppet, Jiang Chen couldn't help but ask:

"What do you plan to do with these?"

Such precious materials—it'd be a waste not to make use of them.

Ei paused at his question.

"I'll use them to craft a new body for the Shogun."

"A smaller one."

She already had a purpose for these materials.

The Raiden Shogun's issues needed resolving, and she could never forgive Scaramouche's actions.

Now that her sister had returned, Ei could no longer lend her own body to the Shogun.

So, her solution was simple—

Dismantle Scaramouche.

And create a smaller, more compact version of the Shogun.

A loli-sized Raiden Shogun.

When Jiang Chen heard this, his expression turned extremely peculiar.

A smaller Shogun?!

Holy shit!

Now, he was intrigued.

"That sounds… amazing."

"You have my full support!"

Support? Absolute support. Anyone who opposed this idea would regret it.

A miniature Raiden Shogun?

This was going to be glorious.

Ei nodded.

"Then I'll get to work."

"I'll finish the new body as soon as possible."

With that, she hauled Scaramouche's disassembled remains into her workshop.

Nearby, Lumine watched the scene before turning to Jiang Chen.

"You seem to really hate that guy."

"Is there a reason?"

She had noticed Jiang Chen's intense dislike for Scaramouche.

But since she hadn't experienced the events of the game, she didn't understand why.
