Chapter 127 - Chapter 127: The Devil’s Playground

The night sky over Emerald City was restless. Thunder rumbled in the distance, mirroring the tension in the underworld. The city had always belonged to the powerful, but now, the lines of power were blurring.

Billionaires. Crime lords. Mercenaries. Ghosts of the past.

All converging.

And at the center of it all, Ochieng.

--

In a secluded penthouse, Alessandra Moretti poured herself a glass of wine, her piercing gaze locked on the screen in front of her. The live feed displayed Ochieng, walking into an abandoned cathedral—a meeting place chosen by the old guard of the underworld.

A smirk tugged at her lips.

"You're either reckless or brilliant, Ochieng. Let's find out which."

She turned to the man standing behind her. "Get ready."

"For what?" the man asked.

Her eyes gleamed. "For war."

---

Ochieng stepped inside the cathedral, the heavy wooden doors creaking shut behind him. Candles flickered, casting shadows over the long oak table where some of the most dangerous men in the city sat.

At the head of the table, Don Vasquez—a man whose name alone made people disappear.

To his right, Aleksei Petrov—the Russian tycoon with an empire built on blood and oil.

And to his left, Victor Langley—the Wall Street puppet master whose influence ran deeper than any government.

They watched Ochieng carefully, their silence a challenge.

He was young. Arrogant. Dangerous.

And they feared him.

"You called this meeting," Vasquez finally spoke, his voice like gravel. "What do you want?"

Ochieng smiled. "To make you all very rich... or very dead."

---

Aleksei chuckled, leaning forward. "You have my attention."

Ochieng slid a briefcase across the table. When Vasquez opened it, a thick file lay inside—documents, blackmail, secrets that could destroy empires.

"I hold the keys to your survival," Ochieng said. "And your destruction."

Victor Langley exhaled sharply. "You're insane."

Ochieng met his gaze. "No. I'm inevitable."

A beat of silence.

Then Vasquez leaned back, steepling his fingers.

"And what do you want in return?"

Ochieng's eyes darkened.

"Loyalty."

---

Across the city, Alessandra stood on the rooftop of her skyscraper, watching the skyline. She knew Ochieng was playing a dangerous game.

And she planned to be his greatest obstacle.

A whisper of footsteps behind her.

"He's making moves faster than we anticipated," her informant said.

Alessandra smirked. "Good. It makes the game more interesting."

She turned, her red dress flowing in the wind, and pulled the man closer.

"When the time is right… break him."

Then, she kissed him—a kiss laced with power, control, and destruction.

---

At dawn, Ochieng walked out of the cathedral, his hands now holding the strings of power. He had forced the underworld to bow.

But the game was far from over.

Because in the shadows, Alessandra was waiting.

Waiting to strike.

Waiting to shatter his empire.

Waiting to destroy him.

And Ochieng?

He was ready.
