"Yinyue, did you hear what your mom said just now?"
"She told me to properly teach you a lesson. So, if you're ever disobedient, I'll have to take some... stronger measures, as per your mom's advice."
Bai Ze teased Xia Yinyue with a playful tone.
Xia Yinyue snapped out of her daze and lightly smacked Bai Ze in protest, though the softness of her gesture made it seem more like she was playfully pouting.
"Ugh! Stop teasing me! You're always joking around, and you've even roped my mom into it!" Xia Yinyue pouted, puffing up her cheeks.
But she couldn't help her curiosity, so she quickly asked, "But seriously, how did you manage that?"
"My mom has always been strict about me interacting with boys. She wouldn't even let me have male friends, let alone date anyone! She kept such a tight grip on me. But somehow, you got her to not only accept us but also approve of us living together. How did you do it?"
Staring at Bai Ze's clear and handsome face, Xia Yinyue's eyes were full of questions.
Bai Ze smiled faintly and gave a one-word reply:
"Secret."
"If I told you, how could I still discipline you?" He maintained an air of mystery.
In truth, it wasn't much of a secret.
With his current status and reputation, how could her mother possibly object?
Forget his role as a godlike figure; even just the fact that he had broken provincial records and earned the top spot among all new students in the province had made headlines everywhere.
Although Xia Yinyue's mom wasn't a Creator herself and didn't fully grasp the magnitude of Bai Ze's potential, she at least understood that he had a promising future. He lived in luxury, drove expensive cars, and carried the aura of someone destined for greatness. With that in mind, how could she not approve of their relationship?
On top of that, Bai Ze had once stayed at Xia Yinyue's house for a period of time when they were younger, and the two of them had been childhood friends ever since. Her mom likely saw this as a perfect opportunity to match them up, turning a long-standing bond into something more.
"Ugh, you're always like this, keeping me in the dark!" Xia Yinyue pouted again, glaring at him with mock annoyance.
Bai Ze stepped closer and gently wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her to sit on his lap.
"All right, let's get to the main issue," he said, his tone turning serious.
"Earlier, you mentioned that there was some trouble in your world. I'd like to take a closer look at what's going on."
Hearing this, Xia Yinyue was momentarily stunned but quickly recovered.
"So that's why you came. Perfect, I'll take you in to see it for yourself."
Since it was about her world, she didn't hesitate. She leaned back into Bai Ze's embrace, and the two of them closed their eyes at the same time, letting their consciousnesses dive into the starry void.
Entering someone else's world required their guidance; it wasn't something that could be done otherwise. Physical contact was also essential, as it was impossible to locate the other person's position without it.
Gradually, the darkness before Bai Ze's eyes gave way to light, and an unfamiliar expanse of stars unfolded before him.
This place was entirely different from his world, clearly marking it as another universe.
Looking down through a layer of hazy mist, a chaotic-looking planet came into view.
The reason it appeared chaotic was the sheer disorder of the energies saturating it.
True Qi, Dou Qi, magic, spiritual energy all of these forces intertwined and clashed, forming a vortex-like turmoil that seemed on the verge of tearing itself apart.
"Yinyue, this is your world, isn't it?" Bai Ze asked, glancing at her.
"Why is it such a mess? The energies are all tangled together."
Xia Yinyue sighed, looking helpless.
"Yes, this is my planet. Take a closer look inside."
With a wave of her hand, their consciousnesses descended into the planet.
Through the swirling energy mist, Bai Ze was met with a surprising sight.
The surface of the planet was teeming with life at least twice as many creatures as his planet.
But instead of being simply abundant, life here was chaotic.
Magic creatures like wyverns, True Qi-based humanoid savages, and spirit beasts born from spiritual energy were all crammed into this one world.
But despite the apparent vibrancy, the planet was small, only at the first tier. The overcrowded environment made it seem suffocating.
"Yinyue, you've been developing your world for a while now. Aside from the angels, haven't you birthed any other dominant species?" Bai Ze asked curiously.
Xia Yinyue sighed again and pointed to a distant area.
"Those... are my strongest forces," she said reluctantly.
Bai Ze frowned and followed her gaze.
In a forested valley, clusters of powerful beings exuded imposing auras.
The angels, her original creations, were among them, but their condition didn't look good.
The entire angelic race seemed exhausted, grounded, and unable to fly.
Nearby, Bai Ze spotted wind elementals and their leader, the Sky Elves.
Clad in silver armor and bearing a resemblance to the angels, these magical beings could summon tornadoes with a mere gesture, destroying everything in their path.
Yet they, too, were in disarray lying down, slumped over, or otherwise looking defeated.
And then, in the heart of the forest...
"That's... a pureblood green dragon?" Bai Ze exclaimed, startled.
There, a massive Forest Dragon slumbered, its towering form rivaling that of a roc and even more robust.
The dragon's faintly exhaled breath alone intimidated all nearby creatures, keeping them at bay.
"It's at the peak of the Warrior Class!" Bai Ze said, astonished. "Yinyue, you already have a creature at that level?"
"It wasn't intentional," Xia Yinyue admitted, embarrassed. "It started as a lesser tree dragon, but the chaotic energies in my world seem to have purified its bloodline, turning it into this."
"But my world's been too peaceful for too long. None of my creatures feel any sense of urgency, so they've all become lazy... o(╥﹏╥)o."
Bai Ze chuckled at her frustration.
"That's easy to fix," he said confidently.
"Just tell your creatures that your world is about to face an invasion from another realm."
"Make it sound like the enemy is really strong, so they'll have to start preparing for battle immediately."
"Then I'll notify my creatures, and we can simulate an interdimensional war. That'll shake them up and get them back in shape."
