KAEL'S P.O.V
"Lenord, have you had the people settled already?" I arrived at the mountain side where my people from Bermuda had been brought.
"Yes, my prince. But they are in distress, they have been asking me why they were made to move from their homes. I don't know what to tell them, sire". Lenord informed me. Sigh, i saw this coming. " Gather the people, i will like to address them" i walked over to the highest point on the planes around the foot of the mountains while the people gathered around. Few moments later the ground around me had already been filled with men, women and children.
"Greetings people, i know you all are greatly distressed and confused about the recent change in settlement. I assure you it is for everyone's safety,'' they all quiet down. "We were at risk of exposure back at the bermuda, almost everyday for the past week, we have seem salem soldiers lurking about our territories." A few murmurs rose among the crowds, i heard some saying its because of me they are searching around. " Now i know the soldiers were out looking for me, but lets be honest here. You all here were already at risk without me and my men, But of course whoever thinks that they don't need me anymore, the bermuda is always there you can go Back Its not too late." I spoke in a loud voice to all of them's hearing. They all went quiet " i thought so too, i still promise everyone's safety, if anything is ever to go wrong i have men here that will handle and take care of you all, so you have nothing to fear. You may all go to rest now, thank you for your understanding". They all dispersed almost as quickly as they gathered.
"Lenord, get me all the soldiers we need to set up emergency strategies in case things go south" i said and moved to the big tent pitched in the middle. Lenord is my second in command where Fredric is absent.
Later on, about 50 soldiers (except for Fredric whom stayed back at the palace to keep Seraph safe) all dressed in black filled the tent, i had them change their uniforms so that no one will know they are rogue soldiers from salem.
When they had all assembled complete round a big table, with a map of this kingdom and its surroundings, i began to speak " so i called you all here because as you know, our safety here is not guaranteed. King Arid is not a friend of mine but more of a foe so we have to put in place an emergency plan." I paused a little and looked at the serious faces of the men present. " Okay, since no objections so far, lets carry on. First we need to find the fastest escape rout from this mountain out of this kingdom, lenord you are to assign five men to take care of that.
Next, Find a safe place or another safe kingdom where this people can be taken to. just in case..' one of the soldiers present raised his hand indicating he has something to say. "Go on" i permitted him to speak
" Would not the place they were taken from, The Bermuda be the safest for them?, I once scouted the area alone there is an island just a few hundred yards by the sea, maybe we can take them there" hm that is a brilliant idea i totally forgot about that island.
" That is a great suggestion, sir….' "Richard, sire" he told me his name after i asked.
"Great, okay Richard, take a few men with you, visit the island and make sure it is safe to be inhabited, when that is done, you are to report back to me and if it is safe i will give you your next orders" he put his right hand to his left chest and bowed, symbolising loyalty.
"Let us carry on, we will also be needing supplies but he have no money and no weapons, lenord, you will handle that with a few other men, find informations about supplies moving to the palace and other kings and intercept them and take important supplies we will be needing, find someplace safe and store them until Richard returns from his assignment then we will know what to do with them. Take weapons and horses also." so far i have assigned more than 30 men with work to do
"The rest of you will be here with the people…..' any questions or objections?" I asked after a little pause. " Very well then, have good night rest" i said and made my way back to the palace, i can not leave seraph alone for long.
FREDRIC'S P.O.V
I spent most of the night at the training space close to princess seraphine's room because prince kael had left earlier to address his people.
I woke up a tad bit too late the next morning, but i felt somewhat jolly.
Last night i had a really pleasant dream, some might say perverted tho, since i carried the princess last night she was all i could think about. She asked me to lunch today and i can not afford to be late, i will have to ask kael to give me the day off.
I took off immediately to meet with kael, he should still be in his room with his wife.
"Come on in" i heard his voice after i knocked twice. " Good morning, sire'
"Please Fredric, drop the pleasantries aside, no need to pretend here, we're alone here. So what can i do for you this fine morning" kael said casually, i chuckled at his nonchalant attitude towards me. He jas always been like this with me.
"I will like to take the day off, i have…. Plans" i hesitated saying the last part unsure if to actually tell him the plans or not.
"Oh you mean.., your little lunch date with katerina" he had that smug smile on his face as he said it how did he know
"Yes, but how did you know…" i raised a brow.
