By the time Sloane returned to her office, the wheels were already in motion.
Lena stood near the windows, tablet in hand, reading through a report. She glanced up as Sloane walked in.
"I assume lunch was... productive?"
"Extremely." Sloane set her clutch down on the desk.
Lena smirked. "Then you'll be happy to know the London deal is already showing signs of instability. One of Harrington's key investors is getting nervous. If he pulls out, the rest will follow."
Sloane took a seat, crossing one leg over the other. "Good. Now we make sure he does."
Lena nodded, already drafting messages. "And the replacement? We need someone strong enough to keep the board from interfering again."
Sloane drummed her fingers against the desk, considering.
"I'll handle that personally. But first, we need to let Harrington sweat."
The first cracks in his investment deal would surface by morning.
By the end of the week? He'd be in free fall.
