Something inside me felt wrong. I struggled to my feet and spotted something or someone looking at us from the shadows, and then it hit me. Shit. We're surrounded by New Order members. There's no way out of this. "Zoro, we can't fight our way out of this. Please, for the sake of Henry."
Zoro placed himself between Henry and me and the assassins. "You lay a finger on Pretty Kitty and Henry, I'll cut you."
One of the assassins smiled. "Well, well, if it isn't the Pirate Hunter Zoro. You haven't changed that much." He stopped and noticed Henry and me. "Shadow Kat. You've come home. You have a small one that doesn't belong here. Nor does his father."
Zoro drew one of his blades. "Say one more word about Henry, and I'll drop you where you stand."
Chopper looked at the group that had us cornered. "What do you want with us? We're just passing through."
Garth Fire, the assassin who was with Dave when we met Ussop, stepped forward. "Shadow Kat, I'm sorry, but this is the only way. I need you, your fiancè, and your friends to come with me."
I looked at him. "Garth, how could you betray the Creed like this. I thought you were better than this."
Garth Fire noticed me finally. "How could I betray the Creed? You slept with a bounty hunter and had a kid with him. Tell me how that's betraying the Creed. You know, just as any assassin here that we swear our lives to the Creed. Yet the best assassin turns her back on it."
Zoro said nothing but stared at Garth Fire with a look of anger and protectiveness. He knew that all of this was a lie that the higher-ups told parents of kids who forced them to join. His eyes, once so calm filled with a fire that knew nothing other than fighting. He had had enough of all this small talk.
Garth Fire stared back, meeting Zoro's cold stare. "So, you think that by defeating Dave, you walk around like a big shot? I guarantee that if it wasn't for Kat, you would still be tied to that post."
"I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR BULLISHT GARTH!! YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BEING A MAN OR EVEN A PARENT FOR THAT MATTER!" Zoro charged forward, knocking Garth out before being knocked out himself.
"ZORO!" I ran over to him, still holding a now-screaming Henry. I handed Henry to Chopper. "Chopper, get Henry out of here. Things are gonna get messy."
Chopper nodded. "I'll make sure he's safe." He looked at Usopp. "You should come with us. You're no match for a group of assassins."
A few hours later, we were all in the main hall with the others. All except Zoro, who woke up in a different room altogether.
Garth smirked. "Rise and shine, handsome."
Zoro lifted his head slowly. "What the hell did you do to me?"
Garth smiled. "Now that I know that you're Shadow Kat's weakness, I can use that against you both."
"If you think that I'll help you hurt my son or Pretty Kitty, then you're wrong."
Garth punched him in the face. "Shut up. You think you know Kat better than anybody."
Zoro smirked, his face covered in blood. "You're right. I do know Pretty Kitty better than you do."
Back in the main hall, Nami looked around confused. "Where's Zoro? I thought he was with you, Chopper, and Usopp."
I looked down at a sleeping Henry in her arms. "I don't know. He was with us."
Chopper sensed my anxiety. "Kat, it's gonna be ok. We'll find Zoro and bring him back."
I sighed. "I hope he's ok. I don't want Henry to grow up without a father. I know I didn't after the age of 10."
Sanji light a cigerentt. "As much as I find Mosshead annoying, I'm not gonna stand by and let my nephew not know his father. Now, let's fight our way out of this shithole."
I nodded and looked at Luffy. "Does my capitan have any complaints?"
Luffy shook his head. "Nope. Zoro will be fine. He always comes out on top."
