"I am sorry, Alpha," Violet softly said.
All the excitement had worn off, and her chest was heavy with guilt.
"I let you stay here under the condition you wouldn't be causing any trouble. However, if you carry on causing trouble and entice others into doing so, get out of here."
Sylas's harsh, cold words stabbed Violet's heart, sharper than any blade could ever. Her lips parted, unable to process her emotions for a second. Tears gathered in her eyes— a trail left on her cheek.
The thrill she experienced today already made her feel exhausted and dizzy, and now, she felt further lightheaded at Sylas's words.
"Alpha, that's too much," Lucas argued in her defense.
"I-uhm- I'm sorry." Violet's tone reflected her horror.
The blacks spots in her eyes made her stumble backwards, and the whirlwind of emotions brewing within her made unstable. The next instant she closed her eyes and fell backwards, losing her consciousness.
