Caliste, who stood before him, couldn't help but nod as he subtly glanced toward his wife.
'I sure spent a good night. Thanks for asking,' Caliste thought to himself.
He could see that Luna was visibly stressed as she kept playing with her hands, rubbing her arms and her forehead. Those were things people did when they were stressed, and it wouldn't go unnoticed if this kept going.
After all, Caliste had taken a video of everything they had done and said. If that were to ever come out, Alder would probably kill his wife and Caliste at once.
It would be such a humiliation that nothing could stop him then. That's why Caliste kept it to himself for now. He didn't think he was strong enough to endure the repercussions, especially with Luther around. While Luther was a pathetic loser, he was a strong one.
