Two hours ago:
The sky was a pale blue when Micah guided his sleek, obsidian-black car toward the outskirts of the city. His fingers tapped lightly against the steering wheel, his gaze flicking between the road and the GPS. Just as he turned onto a highway, his phone rang. He reached for it and tapped the answer, switching it to speaker mode.
"Hey, I'm driving," he said, his gaze on the road.
Darcy's voice came through.
"Oh, just a quick heads up, Nora is with me."
Micah's hand froze on the steering wheel for a split second before he resumed.
"That's good. I will be there in a while. Just come to the main street."
"Ok. Drive safe."
Darcy replied, and the call ended with a soft beep.
Micah exhaled through his nose and scratched his chin, his silver-white hair falling slightly over his brow.
