Chapter 45: Minos's Bar

Disaster Realm – Minos' Bar

No—that couldn't be right.

Could a cult organization really destroy the "Infinite Realm"?

The masked clown had claimed affiliation with the Divine Evil Society, a notorious Gray Realm cult whose members were all half-human, half-evil hybrids. They worshipped the "Bone-Faced Disaster," a entity that stabilized their twisted minds and granted them abilities outside the spiritual master system. They called themselves "new humans."

Xia Feng didn't care if they were "new," but he doubted even they could breach the "Infinite Realm"—a barrier even the Void Sovereign struggled to penetrate.

"Honestly, even if you invade Area 51, you won't hold it for long," Yu Lin said skeptically.

The clown chuckled. "Of course we can't keep it. But the pig-headed nobles of Area 51 dug this hole in the Infinite Realm themselves—all for the Infinite Stone. Shouldn't we… utilize their greed?"

Xia Feng's chest tightened. This just keeps getting worse.

The Infinite Realm was Area 51's primary defense. Someone in the empire had deliberately weakened it for the Infinite Stone?

The Realm's structure was meticulously designed. Extracting even a fragment undetected demanded unimaginable resources and influence. The conspirators had to be high-ranking—powerful enough to bury such a catastrophic betrayal.

No wonder Bloodnight Street's evil infestation had surged in recent years. The "dimensional anomalies" and "evil tides" experts cited were lies. The barrier itself had been sabotaged.

And the Saint Department knew. Yet they did nothing.

How deep did this corruption run? How insane were its architects? Xia Feng's skin prickled. He'd stumbled onto something monstrous.

"Intruders?" The clown answered a call, scanning the fog. "Can you locate them?"

Xia Feng shot Mu Qingtong a glance.

"No trace? Then activate the Disaster Realm. Don't let them escape."

A surge of evil energy erupted from the north—too fast to outrun.

"Go!" Xia Feng barked. He channeled Twin Tails and Treading Air, hurling Mu Qingtong outward. She reacted instantly, her tail vertebrae flaring gold as she vanished into the mist.

Buzz—

The black barrier of the Disaster Realm snapped shut half a meter behind her, then receded.

Mu Qingtong hesitated, then dialed a hidden number.

...

Xia Feng's vision blurred—then cleared.

A bar?

Jazz hummed softly. A deft bartender crafted cocktails under dim lights. Seven or eight hollow-eyed patrons stared at their drinks, radiating despair.

None noticed Xia Feng's arrival. Only the bartender paused, smiling.

"Welcome to Minos' Bar. You may call me Minos."

Xia Feng knew Disaster-class entities followed strict rules. Survive their game, and you lived. Lose, and you died.

"What are the rules here?"

"Of course." Minos gestured gracefully.

"Among one hundred glasses, ten contain wine laced with potent evil energy. Select an opponent, take turns drinking, and continue until one loses their mind or perishes. The winner may leave after finishing the remaining glasses. A tie traps both until the next round."

Poisoned wine? Xia Feng almost laughed. They call this delicious evil brew "poison"?

His tension eased. This was manageable.

Then he spotted the price list:

[Standard: 10/100 poisoned. Winner exits after finishing leftovers.

Upgrade: 20/100. Winner unlocks realm + 0.5g Infinite Stone.

Manager's Pick: 30/100. Unlock realm + 1g Infinite Stone.

Deluxe: 90/100. Unlock realm + 2g Infinite Stone + one Five Elements Stone.]

Xia Feng's pulse quickened. Free rewards? Could he farm this?

Thud!

A kick slammed into his face, sending him crashing into the bar. Glass shattered.

Yu Lin emerged, snarling. "You've got a death wish, following me here!" He whirled on the clown. "Why drag me into this?!"

"First red card." Minos raised a scarlet token. "Two red cards mean elimination."

Xia Feng wiped blood from his lip, glaring. That hurt.

"The second intruder escaped," the clown shrugged. "You got mistaken for them."

"Damn it! Now I'm stuck in this game, you—"

Crack!

His voice stopped abruptly, seeing a whirlwind kick with after shadow and a gust of wind flying towards his cheek. The impact caused by the huge force made his face tremble, and his pupils shrank, and he flew down and hit the edge of the wall.

Snap--

 He slowly fell.

The emaciated man covered his face and groaned in pain.

"Second red card." Minos flicked another card at the spade masked assailant in a calm manner.
