Terumi Mei barely had a moment to react before the Three-Tails swung its massive tails toward her.

The Three-Tails' skin burned and festered as the acidic mist took effect.
But Yagura ignored the pain, halting the formation of the Tailed Beast Bomb and instead lunging straight at Terumi Mei—the biggest threat.
"Terumi-sama!"
Ao shouted, his voice filled with urgency.
At that critical moment—
A figure appeared in front of Terumi Mei.
Kakashi.
He pulled up his forehead protector, revealing his Sharingan.
His Mangekyō spun.
"Kamui!"
In an instant, the Tailed Beast Bomb vanished.
Terumi Mei looked at the stranger before her, momentarily puzzled.
Kakashi turned slightly, offering a casual smile.
"Hello. I'm Konoha's envoy."
She noted his forehead protector and quickly grasped his intentions. Taking a deep breath, she nodded.
"Fine. Let's deal with the Three-Tails first!"

Meanwhile, at the Root Headquarters in Konoha
Obito and Zetsu had infiltrated Konoha, aiming to rescue Deidara.
Obito moved alone.
With ease, he used Kamui to phase through walls, navigating the Root's labyrinthine base as if he had been there countless times before.
But as soon as he materialized—
Kunai and shuriken rained toward him.
The Root ANBU reacted instantly, attacking the unknown intruder.
Obito barely paid attention, letting the weapons pass through his intangible form as he strode forward.

His face darkened.
Within his Kamui dimension, an enormous Tailed Beast Bomb was floating ominously.
The one Kakashi had just absorbed.

Obito immediately disengaged Kamui to avoid the incoming explosion inside his pocket dimension.

A kunai struck his shoulder. Another grazed his arm.
Forced to defend hastily, he couldn't evade them all.
The Root ANBU, witnessing this, struggled to hold back laughter.
This was the legendary masked man?
Really?
The Root ninjas were confident—any one of them could take down ten intruders like him.
Five minutes later...
Every Root ninja in the area was unconscious on the ground.
Obito held the last remaining Root ninja by the throat, watching the disbelief in his eyes.
His Sharingan spun, locking the ninja into a genjutsu.
"Where is Deidara being held?"
The Root ninja, dazed, was just about to answer when intricate seals suddenly appeared all over his body.
A self-destruction curse seal.
Obito immediately let go, clicking his tongue as the man's body went limp.
"Tch, Danzo... Always using these dirty tricks."
Without wasting any more time, he continued deeper into the Root headquarters.
A short while later, he found Deidara in an interrogation room.
The usually smug bomber looked exhausted—his body covered in sealing tags, his face thin and bloodstained.
Obito shook his head.
"Man, you look terrible, Deidara."
Despite his condition, Deidara smirked.
"I knew you'd come."
A voice echoed from the shadows.
"You walked right into our trap."
An old man with a staff stepped forward—Danzo.
In an instant, multiple Root ninjas appeared from the darkness, surrounding Obito.
Obito let out a small laugh.
"Oh~ So I was the bait, huh?"

Yagura had fully transformed into his Tailed Beast form before reverting to his cloaked state—his strongest form.
With enhanced chakra, physical strength, and speed, he was nearly unstoppable.
Terumi Mei gritted her teeth.
Most of the village elders, including the respected Elder Genji, had been slain. Their forces had suffered heavy losses.
"Damn it, Yagura! Wake up already!"
She shouted in frustration.
But Yagura simply sneered beneath his Tailed Beast cloak.
"All traitors must be eliminated!"
Kakashi, clutching his Sharingan eye, was already feeling the effects of overusing his Mangekyō. His vision blurred slightly.
"We need to finish this quickly."
Before he could react, Yagura attacked.
Too fast!
Kakashi barely had time to register the movement before a powerful punch sent him flying.
Terumi Mei took the opening.
"Lava Release: Acid Spit!"
A stream of molten acid shot toward Yagura's face.
But in an instant, he ducked and jumped back, dodging cleanly.
Kakashi coughed, pushing himself to his feet.
"He's too agile... We need to restrict his movements!"
Then, Terumi Mei caught sight of someone—
Sakiya.
The girl had somehow snuck behind Yagura, gripping a massive mallet with both hands.
Terumi Mei's instincts kicked in.
"Sakiya! Watch out!"
But the moment she shouted, she regretted it.
Yagura turned his head—
Too late.
WHAM!
The mallet slammed down on Yagura's skull.
CRACK!
His body hit the ground with a loud thud, his head buried halfway into the dirt.
Sakiya stood over him, gripping her mallet, blinking innocently at Terumi Mei.
Kakashi, still catching his breath, took one look at the absurd scene and smirked.
"Alright, that's a wrap."
Terumi Mei, however, could only stand there, stunned.
"...What just happened?"
