The air felt oddly chilled despite the sun shining overhead. Jihoon's heart began to pound as he spotted Taeoh ahead, staring at him with narrowed eyes. As Taeoh began walking toward him, everything seemed to slow down.
Jihoon's legs felt heavy and was somehow rooted to the ground.
It was just his nerves, he told himself, but the sensation refused to pass.
Before long, Taeoh stopped right in front of him, close enough for Jihoon to see the glint of the silver lip piercing catching the sun. His presence carried a simmering tension, like a lit fuse waiting for a spark.
The unknown guy clinging to Taeoh's side looked confused, glancing between them as if unsure why they'd suddenly stopped.
Bracing himself, Jihoon managed to hold his gaze. He knew he couldn't run or look away now. He'd wanted to clear things up, and this was his chance–though not at all how he'd imagined it.
