Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: The Birth of Jaden Flame

A servant rushed into Drygon's grand chamber, breathless, and threw open the massive doors.

Servant: "My Lord! Your slave, Bella, is about to give birth!"

Drygon's eyes widened in disbelief. Three years had passed, and he had long since given up on the elf producing an heir. He had mistreated her daily, growing more furious with each passing year of her failure to conceive. His wives, still lounging in bed, chuckled at the news.

But Drygon didn't wait. He leaped to his feet and strode through the halls, pushing past his servants. If the elf was truly giving birth, he needed to see it with his own eyes.

When he arrived, the dungeon chamber was filled with tense anticipation. Bella lay on the cold stone floor, her body trembling in pain. Then, with one final cry, the child was born.

Silence fell.

The child was… different.

A boy.

But not just any boy.

He had green hair, green eyes, dark skin, elven ears, and dragon horns—yet his horns did not resemble Drygon's. They looked eerily familiar, resembling his older brother's instead.

Drygon's expression twisted in rage.

Drygon: Slaps Bella and the newborn "Stop crying, you pathetic elf! Your name is Jaden Flame, and I hope you die here with your mother."

Bella, weakened but defiant, glared up at him.

Bella: "Don't you ever talk about me or my child like that again. Or you will regret it."

Drygon's fury burned even brighter.

Drygon: "Throw them into the prison! Let them rot!"

As the guards dragged Bella and the newborn Jaden away, Drygon watched, his mind filled with contempt.

As he was carried away, Jaden opened his eyes for the first time. His bright green irises burned with a hatred far beyond his infant years. His tiny fists clenched as a thought resonated deep within his soul.

Jaden (thoughts): What a bastard. He dares to slap me and my mother? One day… I'll kill him.

Two Years Later…

In the mighty Kingdom of Lamitt, the ruling seat of the dragon race, Michael Flame, the supreme Dragon King, sat upon his golden throne. He was a force no kingdom dared challenge, his mere presence commanding fear and respect.

Michael stepped into the grand Council Hall, holding a sealed letter in his clawed hand. His deep voice rumbled through the chamber as he waved it before the gathered rulers.

Michael: "Hey! Look at what my little brother sent me."

One of the council members, Elisa, the ruler of all elves, leaned forward, curiosity gleaming in her emerald eyes.

Elisa: "Hurry up and open it!"

Michael smirked.

Michael: "You seem far too eager for my liking… but fine." Clears throat "Let's see what nonsense Drygon has written this time."

He unfolded the letter and read aloud:

"Dear King, I am pleased to inform you that I have evolved into a Greater Dragon. My transformation was made possible by slaughtering thousands of male elves—just as my wives did. As a trophy, I have taken their princess as my slave. She has birthed me a son, and I offer him to serve under the great Flame King. Yours faithfully, Drygon."

The moment Elisa heard the words "thousands of male elves were killed", her expression froze.

Then—despair.

Then—rage.

Her emerald eyes darkened, her face twisted with grief and fury.

Elisa: "TELL ME SOMETHING, MICHAEL—"

Michael flinched.

Before he could react, Elisa leaped from her seat, landing on the stage beside him with blinding speed. Michael's breath caught in his throat—his entire body tensed in fear.

He knew how powerful Elisa was.

Her aura changed. The air grew heavy, thick with an overwhelming bloodlust.

Elisa: "Why is it that dragons always involve yourselves in such senseless killing?"

Michael swallowed. For the first time in centuries, fear crept into his heart.

Michael: "I… I'm sorry, please forgive me—my brother and the Dragon Kings—"

Elisa: "The only way I will ever forgive you, your brother, or your kind is if you bring me the boy of the Elven princess."

Michael's eyes widened.

Elisa: "Tell your brother that when the boy turns five years old, I will come for him. This will make me think twice before I erase him, his family, and his kind from the earth."

Michael bowed his head immediately.

Michael: "I will go and tell my brother. And… thank you for being understanding."

He turned away quickly, trying not to let his hands tremble as he clenched the letter.

With a single motion, Michael transformed into his dragon form, his massive wings spreading wide. With a powerful flap, he took to the skies, flying toward Drygon's dungeon.

As he soared, his mind raced.

Michael (thoughts): Why is my brother so stupid?

He should have told me before he did something like this.

But that's the least of my worries… The way Elisa looked at me… If it weren't for the Council's laws, she would have killed me on the spot.

She's terrifying…
