"—Curiosity will kill you, Alex!" Aurora playfully replies to him.
Alex chuckled at her response. He felt relieved that Aurora's stress wasn't caused by his mother—at least he no longer had to argue with her.
"Stop making assumptions..." Aurora adds, trying to mask her frustration with a warm smile. "I promise to share everything with you. Trust me, there will be no secrets between us, Alex."
"I'm happy to be part of everything you do, Aurora." Alex's smile widened as he gently patted her head before turning his attention back to the road ahead.
"Of course, you are my husband..." Aurora smiled gently and let her thoughts drift back to her investigation plan.
Her plan was pretty simple: once she had enough evidence, she'd show it to Alex and get his thoughts on how to deal with his grandpa.
She will listen to his opinion first before deciding what to do next.
