"You will expose me if you call me 'madam' in front of my friends, Josh."
Aurora didn't wait for him to respond but got into the car.
She took her cell phone out of her bag to check David's message. However, she saw nothing.
She stared at her cell phone screen for a few seconds, puzzled. It was unusual for David to take so long to respond to her text messages.
A few minutes after leaving Green Hill, Aurora finally turned her attention to Josh, who was driving silently.
"Josh, I'm supposed to sit next to you. How can we be friends if I'm sitting in the back seat? You look like my driver. No one will believe me if I say we're friends."
Josh's expression tensed at Aurora's words. How could his boss's wife sit next to him? He felt confused and didn't know how to respond.
He could only squeeze the steering wheel tightly and stare straight at the busy road ahead.
Not hearing him speak, Aurora couldn't help but laugh inwardly.
