"Hey, wake up! You can't keep sleeping on the first day of school!" Otto said as he tried to wake Blaine up.
"Just 5 more minutes…" Blaine replied from his sleep.
"No! Wake up! Right now!" Otto replied back as he took off Blaine's blanket.
"I even tried to wake you before but you didn't wake up." Otto said in frustration.
He slide opened the window curtains and the sunlight shined through the window on Blaine's face.
Blaine got up and sat on his bed. His eyes barely opened.
*Yawn*
He slowly opened his eyes then looked at Otto and smiled. "I'm up" He said to Otto as he got up from his bed.
"Hurry up and go wash yourself. I'll be waiting here. And this is no time to be smiling." Otto said as he pushed Blaine from his back to the bathroom.
Blaine walked in the bathroom and closed the door.
Some time passed as Otto waited for Blaine in their dorm room.
"Alright. I'm coming." Blaine said as he opened the bathroom door and came out.
He freshened up and wore his academy uniform.
He made sure that everything looked clean and perfect from his hair to his toes, after all this was his first day of school at the Academy of Magic in this strange but familiar world.
"All~right. Let's go~" Blaine picked up his bag which had books for his classes.
"I'm kind of nervous." Otto said as he sat down on his bed and looked down at the floor.
"I'm nervous myself." Blaine replied calmly.
"I'm scared. I don't think I can do this." Otto said worriedly as he forced a smile on himself.
"I'm scared too. But more than that, I'm excited!" Blaine grinned as he responded back to Otto.
"You're excited…?" Otto asked with a confused expression.
"As much as I'm scared and nervous, my excitement for what I will see and learn overwrites my fears." Blaine replied with slight grin.
"Don't forget. I'm here with you, so you don't have to worry about anything, okay?" He added as he looked at Otto and his grin turned into a soft smile. Giving Otto some comfort.
"So, are you ready?" He asked.
Otto looked up at him and nodded.
"Then, let's go!" Blaine said with encouragement as he extended his right hand to Otto.
Otto grabbed his right hand with both of his and stood up from the bed and picked up his bag.
As Otto stood up, Blaine gave him a warm smile.
"What's wrong?" Otto asked after he noticed Blaine's smile.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just thinking about something." Blaine replied as he took a few steps forward and stopped, facing at the door.
"Are you sure?" Otto asked again.
"Mm-hmm" Blaine hummed. Giving him a response that meant 'yes, everything is fine'.
"Anyway. Let's go. We don't want to be late, now do we?" He added as he opened the door and turned around toward Otto.
"Ah! Yes! Let's go!" Otto replied and hurriedly walked toward Blaine and then walked out their dorm room.
As they both walked out their room, Blaine took a step forward and started walking. He then realized that Otto was not with him. He turned around and saw Otto standing in front of their dorm room's door.
Otto extended his right hand to where the door lock is supposed to be and poured his mana in it.
"Alright, now let's go." Otto said after he walked toward Blaine.
"…"
"What's wrong?" Otto asked with a confused expression after Blaine did not respond to him.
"Just now… did you pour mana in the door?" Blaine asked.
"Well, yes. The door gets locked after you pour your mana or make contact with it. There's a magical device that is connected to every single door in the dormitory that allows you to unlock or lock your doors to prevent others from entering. We're registered as the owners of our room so no can enter our room except us until we graduate. And if someone else tries to enter our room uninvited by pouring their own mana or even touching it, it will be locked completely until the owner unlocks it himself. So it's good for our privacy and it's very unlikely that someone will even try do it in the first place." Without even realizing, Otto gave him a brief explanation.
"Why did you ask? Did you not know?" Otto asked.
"Ah… must have forgotten about it." Blaine replied with a sigh.
"Anyway, you talked so much just now." Blaine said with a chuckle.
"Ah… I…" Otto stumbled and couldn't form a proper sentence.
"That was amazing! Just a few minutes ago you said you were scared, but look at you now! You couldn't stop talking!" Blaine said with a excited expression.
"You… stop it…!" Otto's face turned red and he replied with a flustered expression.
"No! I'm serious! If you talk more like how you did just now, I'm sure you will get better at interacting with others." Blaine said with a gentle tone and a gentle smile.
Otto blushed and his face turned even redder.
"…okay. I'll try…" Otto replied as he tried to hide his blushing face with his palms.
"Mm-hmm" Blaine softly hummed.
"I think we have wasted enough time already, so let's get going." He added.
"Yeah… you're right…" Otto slowly removed his palms from his blushing face.
They walked straight and went downstairs and then walked out of the dormitory with some other students in front and some behind them.
"Hey guys! Wait for me!" As they existed the dormitory, a familiar voice called out to them.
