The match raged on, with EOS Team 2 desperately trying to break through the iron-clad control of the Old Legends.
The early attempts at attack had been completely shut down—not by brute force, but by sheer experience and footballing intelligence. Every movement, every pass, every decision from the Old Legends felt effortless.
But EOS Team 2 wasn't giving up.
From the sidelines, Renji, Mori, and the other top EOS players watched with sharp eyes.
"They need to change something," Riku muttered. "If they keep playing normally, they'll never get past these guys."
Sunil Rajput smirked. "Let's see if they realize it in time."
Old Legends Strike Again
The ball was in Old Legends' possession again. Masaki Arai, the left-back of Sendai Warriors, had the ball near the halfway line.
With a swift motion, he launched a devastating long pass to the right wing—Shinobu Hayashi, the speedster from Kobe Strikers.
"Too fast!" Kenji Takahashi cursed as he chased after Hayashi, but he was already too late.
Hayashi, with lightning agility, cut inside and slotted a pass to Ryusei Hoshigaki, the creative attacking midfielder.
Hoshigaki didn't even need to look.
One-touch pass.
The ball immediately reached Daigo Fushimi, who was inside the penalty area.
EOS Team 2's defense collapsed.
Fushimi shot!
Jin Kazama dived—but it was a feint!
Fushimi stopped his shot at the last second and chipped it over Kazama.
Goal!
1-0!
The Old Legends scored first.
EOS Team 2 looked stunned.
From the sidelines, Renji frowned. "That's a goal only legends can score."
Sunil grinned. "Oh? And what about your side? Let's see how these kids respond."
The match resumed, and EOS Team 2 knew they couldn't keep playing the way they were.
Sorao Hamada , Masato Hino, and Daichi Fujimoto — formed a temporary alliance( like Yuto Kisaragi, Shindo Kazuki, and Reiji Sakamoto in last match)—stepped
Sorao Hamada passed to Daichi Fujimoto. Daichi Fujimoto instantly one-touched it toMasato Hino
A fluid passing chain.
They weren't trying to dribble past the Old Legends.
They were moving the ball faster than they could react.
Triangle? No—something more.
They kept their movements unpredictable, never allowing the defenders to settle.
Masato Hino ran forward. Daichi Fujimoto flicked the ball up. A perfect volley pass.
Masato Hino jumped and struck—a mid-air pass to Yuto!
Sorao Hamada didn't hesitate.
Direct shot!
Shogo Mizuki lunged—
The ball hit the post!
But before Mizuki could react—
Daichi Fujimoto was already there.
Rebound shot—GOAL!
1-1!
The EOS players roared.
From the sidelines, Renji smirked. "There we go."
Sunil nodded. "Now the real game begins."
