Chapter 123 - The Third Predator

EOS 3 - 7 World 11.

Kaizen and Kaiser still ruled the field.

The unstoppable tyrants devoured every player in their path, treating teammates and opponents alike as mere tools to reach their ultimate goal—scoring.

Every time EOS tried to resist, their efforts were crushed before they could even begin.

Until now.

Because now, Renji Kurogami had entered the hunt.

Renji had been watching. Analyzing.

Not just how Kaizen and Kaiser played—but how they controlled the game itself.

Kaizen shattered the midfield?

Renji saw how he manipulated teammates and opponents alike, using their positions to open paths for himself.

Kaiser created space to shoot?

Renji noted how he forced defenders into wrong positions, carving out perfect angles.

Renji had devoured every step of their destruction.

And now?

He would use it against them.

_

Kaizen and Kaiser moved to strike again.

Kaizen sprinted toward the box, with Kaiser mirroring his run—both waiting for the moment to devour each other and score.

Renji read their movements.

He saw how Kaizen used Volkov's position as a decoy—forcing defenders to commit too early.

He saw how Kaiser delayed his positioning—waiting for the defense to collapse before striking.

Renji positioned himself between them.

And at the perfect moment—

He struck first.

Just as Kaiser prepared to shoot, Renji intercepted—not by tackling, but by cutting off his perfect angle.

Kaiser's shot window disappeared.

And Kaizen—who had prepared to capitalize on the rebound—was suddenly out of position.

Their rhythm—shattered.

Renji didn't just stop them.

He took control.

"Tch—this bastard." Kaiser clicked his tongue.

Kaizen's eyes gleamed. "Interesting."

Renji didn't hesitate.

He turned the stolen ball into a direct counterattack.

Renji baited Sunil Rajput into pressing too early—then cut through midfield like a knife.

Mori rushed forward. "Renji—!"

Renji didn't answer. He was already calculating.

Aikawa moved into position.

Renji saw it—a chance to use him.

With a light touch, he sent the ball forward, making it look like a simple pass—

Aikawa lunged for it—only for Renji to slip past and reclaim possession himself.

He had used Aikawa as bait.

Just like Kaizen.

Now, EOS was attacking.

Devouring the Tyrants

Kaiser and Kaizen didn't panic.

They were hunters.

And now, Renji was in their sights.

Kaizen charged first.

Renji didn't slow down.

Kaizen lunged—but Renji changed direction at the last second, using Kaizen's momentum against him.

Kaiser was next.

Renji saw how Kaiser would force him into a poor position—so he preemptively baited Kaiser into committing first.

The ball rolled ahead—just enough to make Kaiser believe he could intercept.

Kaiser lunged—but Renji shifted the ball out of reach at the final moment.

Two monsters—neutralized.

And then—

Renji fired.

GOAL.

Kaizen smirked. "Not bad."

Kaiser's eyes narrowed. "So you're trying to play at our level?"

Renji locked eyes with them.

And grinned.

"I'm not trying."

"I already am."
