Chapter 120 - A Clash of Egos

EOS 2 - 1 World 11.

The moment Renji's shot hit the back of the net, the stadium fell into an eerie silence.

But only for a second.

Then—the storm arrived.

Kaiser Eberhart rolled his neck, his usual grin widening.

"That's one goal too many for you," he muttered.

The World 11 kicked off again, and the tempo exploded.

Sunil Rajput, the Indian midfield maestro, took control, dictating the flow with sharp, one-touch passes.

His vision was insane—spotting openings before they even appeared.

He flicked the ball left to Leonel Castillo, who immediately sent a no-look through-pass to Kylien Marcel on the right flank.

Marcel—The Lightning Storm—was unleashed.

Kaede Arata rushed to intercept—but too late.

Marcel blasted forward, outpacing Arata in an instant.

In a blur, he reached the penalty box and cut inside, ready to shoot.

Tetsuya Aikawa lunged in to block—

But Marcel faked the shot, letting Aikawa slide past, then instantly snapped his body back and unleashed a curved rocket shot toward the top corner.

Takuma Ogawa reacted—diving to his left—

But the ball curved mid-air, bending toward the opposite post.

GOAL.

EOS 2 - 2 World 11.

Marcel barely reacted, just jogging back with a confident smirk. "Too easy."

The Egos Unleashed

The game restarted, and EOS immediately fought back.

Mori, furious, grabbed the ball and sprinted down the center.

He bulldozed past Rajput and Castillo, charging like a madman.

Aleksandr Volkov, the Russian wall, stepped up to stop him.

Mori didn't hesitate—he unleashed a brutal shot from outside the box.

The ball exploded forward—but—

BANG!

Noah Weiss blocked it—WITH ONE HAND.

Mori's eyes widened. "What—?!"

Weiss caught the ball with ease, his expression blank.

"You're still not ready," he muttered.

Before EOS could react—Weiss launched a monstrous goal kick, sending the ball flying over the entire midfield.

Straight to Kaiser.

Kaiser vs. Renji & Mori

Renji and Mori rushed in together to stop him.

But Kaiser—

Smiled.

He flicked the ball into the air and, without hesitation—he bicycle-kicked it forward to DeLuca.

DeLuca, already running, received it mid-stride.

Sho Nakata and Yuto Kisaragi closed in to stop him.

DeLuca nutmegged Nakata, spun around Kisaragi, and fired a low shot toward the far post.

Ogawa dove—

But—

BANG!

The ball crashed into the net.

GOAL.

EOS 2 - 3 World 11.

The World 11 had taken the lead.

EOS' Desperation

Now behind, EOS' egos began to boil.

Mori refused to pass.

Aikawa forced reckless shots.

Amagi ignored positioning, looking only for solo opportunities.

Their attacks fell apart.

Kaizen, watching from the sidelines, smirked.

"Let's see who survives this storm."

Renji gritted his teeth.

If they wanted to win—they had to break through.

The Counterattack Begins…
