Wen Nan knocked on the neighbor's door again.
Lin Xue Mei opened the door and saw Wen Nan handing over his recently swapped-out pants, neatly packed, to her.
"Aunt Mei, I... don't really know how to wash them well myself, could you help me out?" Wen Nan tentatively asked.
Lin Xue Mei paused for a moment, then smiled.
She raised her hand to take the bag of clothes, stepped aside, and said, "Qiqi is inside doing her homework. She said there's a newly released set of papers that are really hard, and she can't do them. She asked if you could help. Why don't you just go in and find her? I'll take care of the pants."
Wen Nan nodded in agreement and walked into the room.
The apartment wasn't large, two bedrooms and a living room, with Lin Xue Mei usually sleeping in the master bedroom, while the guest room served as Qiqi's bedroom and study.
The entire wall opposite the bed was made into a desk with two chairs placed side by side.
