Chapter 29 - C29 - A Request for Resources

"Alright, kid, it's time to take you to the Cultivation Consultants. Follow me!"

Lawrence teleported the two of them.

"I've been meaning to ask you, Lawrence… How do you keep teleporting us without accessing your holo?"

Lawrence smiled. "Put simply, years of practice and a special gland from the Soultail Glowfrog. I'll let you figure it out from there."

"Here we are!" He added. The two walked forward into a small gymnasium-like space. Three assistants were waiting in chairs.

Across from them sat two empty chairs. Luke and Lawrence sat down.

"Luke," the lady in the middle began, "After studying your weapon assessments, we have fome to an agreement on your weapon recommendation."

The man on the right spoke next. "You show great talent in each of the weapons provided. While we would like to recommend using multiple weapon types, we understand the constraints of doing so."

"Therefore," the kooky lady on the left mentioned, "we have decided to recommend to you the following spirit embryos: the formless embryo of the weapon master, and the beam embryo of the laser weapons master."

It was back to the lady in the middle. "While we can offer you a full metal slug embryo as well, we do not recommend doing so as of yet and recommend waiting until you perfect the previous two styles."

The man on the right spoke once more. "The military is willing to gift you three spirit embryos of your choice. We recommend these two as starters."

The kooky lady's voice appeared again. "Young man, we present to you our recommendation with a full complement of cultivation practices. We have also gathered a number of old masters to teach you should you choose to do so."

"Young man, what is your choice?" The three intoned together.

"Actually, due to a chance of fate, I have already stumbled upon my future path. While I would love to follow your recommendations, it appears that fate has different plans. For now, I will request a level 9 Yin World Bead, a level 9 Yang World Bead, and a level 9 Water World Bead."

"I plan to cultivate the path of Card Creation supplemented by all seven world beads. With several senior's wisdom, I hope to push myself to the top of the battlefield with this combination."

The seniors looked at him, stupefied. 'He's been here a total of three days, and he already picked the three most expensive embryos that exist in this galaxy…'

After a few minutes' thought. They looked at him seriously. "How many world beads do you possess?" The man on the right asked.

"I have two world stones in my possession. I plan to use the military contribution points of my lab, as well as the enhanced trade of my star system, to trade for the remaining two world stones and the various resources required to complete the world beads. Unfortunately, my current cultivation is my greatest block forward."

The kooky lady looked to the lady in the middle, who gave a short nod, before responding.

"While ambitious, your plan holds merit. We approve your request and will prepare the necessary structure to culture it."

Lawrence gave him a side-eye. Turning to the three, he added, "Thank you for your considerable time and effort on behalf of my colleague. We, the EX-Class Mech Pilot division, thank you."

Luke was confused. 'How did they just pass out?'

"C'mon, Luke." Lawrence waved, standing. "We're on to the next task of the day."

'Okkaaaaaay.'

Standing, he followed suit. The two shortly arrived in a room mired by pipes and cables. 'Engineering?'

Lawrence pressed his palm onto a red button marked, 'DO NOT TOUCH' in bright, white letters.

A small door opened on one of the pipes opposite the wall. "Come on in." He said. Luke followed him. Turning, they walked several dozen meters before he seemingly brushed into the wall of the pipe.

Bright light filled the pathway. Turning, they turned into a room with millions of cultivation materials. "This," Lawrence said, "is the Treasury of the Legacy, the hall of the galaxy's warfront and the biggest treasury in the galaxy."

To his side, he added, "The Legacy is not named for nothing. In the event of total annhilation, the Legacy was built to maintain our knowledge and prowess for the next generation."

He walked over to a shelf. "This is the section containing our EX Cultivation materials."

"Once the fan club remakes your cultivation plan, you can decide on using either a biological or mechanical-type mech. They'll then begin to create the mech embryo based on your innate physiology and cultivation path."

"By placing your mech embryo inside the Central Fabricator, we can form the initial schematics for you and begin to fabricate your new mech."

"Until then," he began seriously, "I'm supposed* to give you cultivation materials to quickly raise your soul power and cultivation. However, I'd ask that you don't take them quite yet."

"Why?" Luke pursed his lips.

"I never said this, but the morons each morning are locked to their power at the peak of your current cultivation level. It won't change until you reach the level the rest of us are at."

"As a result, their brains tend to strain since they're not used to such low levels of power."

"What level have you reached?"

"The peak of the ninth tier of cultivation."

"I see."
