Walking into the empty store, I had to stop myself from doing a ridiculous happy dance. This was it. Our place. Our soon-to-be bakery.
The realtor, a middle-aged man with a slicked-back haircut that screamed I sell overpriced real estate for a living, gave us a polished smile. "This space can comfortably host at least fifty people," he explained, gesturing around like he was showing us the Taj Mahal. "Perfect for a bakery and dining setup. The second room has an ideal kitchen layout, plus two emergency exits."
"Love that for us," Riana muttered under her breath, nudging me.
"What do you think?" she asked aloud.
I turned in a slow circle, taking it all in. High ceilings, good lighting, enough room to make all our wildest bakery dreams come true. "I think it's perfect," I said, grinning. "Do you like it?"
