A COUPLE OF HOURS EARLIER
They walked into Disneyland, immediately enchanted by the sight of various princesses, the excited crowd, and the magical atmosphere.
"So, where should we go first?" Frida asked, her eyes sparkling.
"Anywhere you want. We've got VIP access to all the rides," Laz replied with a chuckle.
Her jaw dropped. "That must have cost a fortune!"
"You're worth a fortune, angel," he said smoothly.
Laz scanned the area before turning her toward the Haunted Mansion.
"Oh, hell no!" Frida shrieked, pulling away.
"Why not?" Laz asked with a dark chuckle.
"Because I know you, Laz. You'll try to scare me in there!" she whined, making him laugh.
"So, you admit you're scared?" he teased.
"I didn't say that! I said you'll try—and fail, obviously." She rolled her eyes.
"Really, darling? Wanna bet?" he challenged, his grin widening.
Her lips curled into a mischievous smile. "What are we betting?"
