Chapter 48 - Business

After entering the grand lobby of the Liu Corporation branch, Ye Chen followed closely behind Liu Yue. As they walked past, every employee respectfully greeted her, their admiration evident.

It wasn't just because Liu Yue was the president. She was known for her integrity, strength, and fairness. Under her leadership, employees were treated well and often rewarded with generous bonuses. She had built a company that didn't just thrive—it flourished.

Some employees glanced at Ye Chen curiously, whispering among themselves. Who was this handsome young man walking so confidently behind President Liu?

Liu Yue's private office was located on the top floor. When they stepped inside, Ye Chen was momentarily stunned. The room was spacious—at least 50 square meters—with sleek, elegant decor and amenities that made it feel more like a luxury suite than a workspace.

"Please, make yourself comfortable. I'll get us something to drink," Liu Yue offered with a soft smile, walking gracefully toward a modern coffee machine.

Ye Chen sat down, observing her figure as she moved—elegant, poised, commanding respect without ever trying.

If the employees outside knew their president was personally preparing coffee for a young man barely in his twenties, they'd probably faint in disbelief.

Liu Yue returned a few minutes later, placing two cups on the table. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air.

"Here you go, Mr. Ye Chen," she said gently.

Ye Chen chuckled. "You don't have to be so formal with me. Just call me Ye Chen."

Liu Yue's lips curved into a smile. "Then you can drop the 'Miss' too. Just call me Liu Yue."

"Deal."

She took a sip of her coffee, then looked at him curiously. "So, Ye Chen, what kind of business brings you here today?"

Ye Chen leaned back slightly. "I want to ask for your help… to sell something."

Liu Yue raised an eyebrow. "Oh? What kind of item? Don't tell me it's something like the Zillao bracelet again."

She still remembered how that mysterious bracelet had helped heal her grandmother—something even the best doctors couldn't do. It was nothing short of a miracle.

Ye Chen smiled and stood up, placing the box he had carried on the table. "Take a look for yourself."

Liu Yue opened the box and blinked in surprise.

"Peaches?" she asked in disbelief. "You came all the way here to sell peaches?"

"These aren't just any peaches," Ye Chen said with a grin. "They're special. One bite and you'll understand."

Liu Yue eyed him suspiciously but reached for a fruit anyway. It was slightly larger than an ordinary peach, its color more vibrant.

She peeled it carefully, sliced off a piece, and tasted it.

The moment the fruit touched her tongue, her eyes widened. It was sweet—far sweeter than any peach she'd ever eaten. The flavor was rich, refreshing, and oddly revitalizing. A warm, comfortable sensation spread through her chest.

"This… this is incredible," she murmured. She took another bite. And another. Before she knew it, she had devoured the whole thing.

Ye Chen chuckled softly. "Told you. Extraordinary, right?"

Liu Yue looked up, her cheeks slightly flushed. "That was amazing… Do you have more?"

"I do. But they're limited, so I need someone I can trust to help me sell them—someone who knows how to reach the right people."

Liu Yue stepped a little closer, her voice dropping to a softer, more intimate tone. "Ye Chen… can I have two more peaches? I promise I'll help you however you want."

Her words sent a slight shiver down Ye Chen's spine. She was standing so close now, her voice almost a whisper against his ear. Elegant and professional moments ago, she now had an almost playful glint in her eyes.

Ye Chen's mind drifted briefly—but he quickly shook the thoughts away.

He smiled and handed her two more peaches. "Alright. But in return, you need to help me sell the rest. Find some rich buyers who'll appreciate what they're really worth."

Liu Yue's eyes lit up as she gently cradled the fruit. "Thank you, Ye Chen. I'll make sure these are sold at the price they deserve."

She looked so genuinely happy, like a little girl who had just received her favorite treat. It made Ye Chen smile warmly.

"So… what's the plan?" he asked.

"As it happens," Liu Yue said, walking over to her desk, "we're hosting a private auction today. Some of the wealthiest people in the city will be attending. It's the perfect place to promote these."

"And what do I need to do?"

"Nothing," Liu Yue replied with confidence. "Just leave it to me. I have a plan."

She carefully locked the peaches away in a safe, then turned back toward Ye Chen with a determined look.

"Let's get ready. Tonight, your peaches are going to make waves."
