Roa immediately denied, "It wasn't me, I didn't do it, don't think too much."
A classic triple denial.
Claire's face showed a look of astonishment, but it didn't last long before turning into a look of understanding.
She circled around Roa, examining him for a while, and finally shrugged, saying, "Well, if it were you, it wouldn't be that surprising."
Claire was usually a bit naive, but naivety didn't equal stupidity. With a little thought, she quickly guessed that only Roa could have done something like that.
Claire curiously asked, "Who was it? To be able to fight you like that, even the academy head couldn't have done that, right?"
"Well, just a self-proclaimed demon king and a powerful spirit user, oh, you'll find out soon enough."
Roa said nonchalantly, not taking the matter to heart.
Beside him, Est was eating the pastry in her hand, shifting her gaze from Roa to the two of them. After glancing at them, Est fell into thought, and the slow-witted girl was awakened from the delicious pastry, realizing that two more people had come to steal their home.
She looked at them warily and then tugged at Roa's sleeve, signaling him to hurry and leave.
Feeling the tug on his sleeve, Roa understood Est's thoughts. He smiled apologetically at the two and said, "Sorry, I just made my spirit angry, and I plan to spend some quality time with her, so I'll take my leave now. I hope you both have fun."
With that, he took Est and prepared to continue their leisurely stroll.
Watching Roa and Est leave hand in hand, Claire couldn't help but sigh, "Their relationship is really good. If Scarlet could be like Est, that would be great."
"Hah, do you think your silly cat could do that?"
Rinslet mocked.
Claire was furious at this and pretended to pounce, and the two began to wrestle again.
The maid beside them helplessly rubbed her forehead, but her gaze remained fixed on the two in the distance.
"Well, their relationship is really good."
After accompanying Est for a stroll, her mood stabilized significantly, and everything seemed to return to normal, except that there was always an extra girl by her side.
Est's cheeks puffed up as she looked at the girl in front of her and couldn't help but scold, "Hey, what are you doing here?"
In Ellis's dormitory, which was originally meant for two, there were now four people crammed in.
Restia casually said, "What's wrong? As your contract spirit, isn't it my duty to accompany my master?"
Restia leisurely held a cup of tea, her black eyes sparkling with an unclear meaning.
Seeing Restia's demeanor, Est hugged Roa's arm tightly, her face showing a wary expression as she coldly said, "The master is mine."
As if declaring her territory, she spoke to Restia in a frosty tone.
Restia nodded, a smile creeping onto her lips as she mocked Est, "Est, if you keep acting like this, you might be disliked."
Est looked at Restia with a determined gaze, her cold expression revealing dissatisfaction. She spoke again, "The master won't dislike me."
Restia laughed. She stood up from her seat and walked toward Est, bending down to look at the girl below. She reached out her hand to stroke Est's forehead, but Est expressionlessly dodged, her eyes filled with extreme wariness as she scrutinized Restia, saying, "Hey, what do you want? I warn you not to do anything unnecessary."
Restia, undeterred by Est's evasion, still wore a faint smile on her face.
Roa stood by, watching the two's actions.
It all felt somewhat amusing, reminiscent of an older sister bullying a younger sister.
Ellis sat on the sofa, facing Roa. Seeing the scene over there, she couldn't help but ask, "I really don't know where your luck comes from, having another high-ranking spirit. Honestly, I've never seen so many like that in books."
Roa smiled but didn't say much.
He had already explained Restia's background to Ellis, omitting some of the more secretive parts.
Meeting, getting to know each other, and then helping.
The part about meeting is somewhat omitted, and the part about getting to know each other is also very brief. The so-called help is referred to by Roa as a commission.
Similar to the commissions given by goddesses to knights.
Ellis stroked the tea cup with her fingers, her gaze wandering between Roa and Restia. The girl hesitated and said, "Having more spirits is not necessarily better. You should be able to feel the problem with contracting two spirits now."
Roa picked up the cup of tea and took a small sip.
He had added a bit more sugar to this cup, and the sweetness was enough to mask the bitterness of the tea leaves. The bitterness touched his tongue and vanished in an instant, followed by a rich tea aroma and a hint of sweetness.
Ellis frowned slightly and continued, "Contracting spirits can have negative effects. The key to a dual contract lies in how well you manage those two spirits."
At this point, Ellis subtly glanced at Est and Restia, who were sitting nearby.
The two had already embraced each other; to be precise, Restia was reaching out with both hands to touch, while Est was desperately trying to keep her from touching her.
Roa set down the tea cup, sighed, and said seriously, "I will make them happy."
Ellis did not respond directly, smiling as she said, "You should tell them that, not me."
Roa fell silent, no longer speaking.
The two fell into a rare silence, with the sounds of the two spirits playing behind them.
Time passed slowly, and outside, the moonlight was bright and clear, casting a hazy glow over the land.
Roa stared out the window, lost in thought. The white palace was brightly lit, and his mind was racing.
Ellis yawned and casually said to Roa, "I'm going to bed. You should get some rest too."
She then stood up and walked into the room.
Only the three of them remained in the living room.
Restia's lips curled into a smirk as she let go of the hand that had been holding the girl, a teasing smile on her face. She said to Roa, "Then I won't disturb you any longer."
With that, she vanished from sight.
Roa sighed but did not say anything more, taking Est with him toward the room.
Est was relieved that Restia did not come over to intervene and take a share; she was still monopolizing Roa, but a huge sense of urgency flashed through her heart.
A girl's intuition is always sharp; she did not believe that the other party would give up so easily. It was likely that they were waiting for Roa to let his guard down, and then they would strike suddenly, taking the master away from him.
Thinking of this, Est leaned her whole body against Roa, and after a moment's thought, she took off the clothing covering her chest, leaving only a thin shirt. Roa did not notice the girl's actions, as he was deep in thought about how to deal with the rampaging Elemental Lord. In a moment of distraction, Est was left wearing only a short shirt.
Est was undoubtedly cute, with a delicate face like a doll. Although her flawless little face still bore a cold expression, it was precisely this coolness that made one's heart race.
With skin as smooth as jade, the girl turned and sat up, perching on Roa's lap. She wore black over-the-knee socks, and her snow-white feet were exposed. Est leaned forward, revealing a delicate area in front of her chest.
Roa was pulled from his thoughts by the scene before him, and his heart couldn't help but race.
He silently chanted three times in his mind, "I am not a lolicon."
Struggling, he reached out and pushed the girl aside, averting his gaze. Roa rubbed his forehead and feigned helplessness, saying, "Est, this isn't right, you know?"
Est tilted her head, feigning confusion, "Is the master not happy?"
"Well, it's not that I'm unhappy…"
Roa's tone weakened, and his conviction began to waver.
"Then why?"
"There aren't that many reasons. In short, Est, this is not appropriate."
"Stare~"
Est's azure eyes fixed intently on Roa. He avoided her gaze, reaching out to ruffle the little girl's silver hair, saying to Est, "You wouldn't want your master to be labeled a pervert, would you?"
"But, isn't the master a pervert?"
Est responded almost without thinking.
Roa fell into contemplation, and the air suddenly became quiet.
Roa sat up, his expression turning serious. He reached out and hugged Est, rubbing her hair more forcefully. With a serious face, he asked, "Why does Est think that?"
Est tilted her head. The boy's gentle fingers stroked her silver hair, and the sensation from the strands felt very comfortable. After pondering for a moment, Est spoke, "Isn't the master very interested in my body?"
"Ah, this?"
Roa set the girl down. He wanted to defend himself, but when he met Est's clear azure eyes, he found himself at a loss for words.
What could he say? That he was not interested in her at all?
Roa fell into deep thought.
Roa silently pondered.
Roa gave up struggling.
Forget it, let it be.
He directly embraced Est and drifted into sleep.
This time, there were still no dreams, no savior saintess, no demon-slaying holy sword, no Solomon's dream, and no sign of Restia.
When he woke up, Roa felt refreshed.
The softness in his arms made him feel at ease; the pillow was comfortable, and the girl curled up like a cat, looking exceptionally cute.
Roa yawned and sat up from the bed.
He glanced to the side and casually said, "Restia, do you need something?"
Unbeknownst to him, Restia was already sitting in a chair, looking at Roa and Est with a smirk on her face.
Still wearing her elegant black dress, Restia crossed her legs, her slender, smooth calves swaying casually.
Restia tidied her hair and looked at Roa with a burning gaze, saying, "Now I finally understand why she clings to you so much."
Roa stood up and put on his clothes.
The white shirt concealed Roa's tall and lean figure. Who could imagine that such a small boy could unleash a power that even dragons could not compare to?
Roa stood up, walked to the wardrobe, and took out the academy uniform. The uniform was blue and white, slightly different from the previous one. Standing by the mirror, Roa leisurely combed his dazzling golden hair.
His long hair fell to his waist, and he handed a hairband to Restia, casually saying, "Can you help me tie it up?"
Restia was slightly taken aback, her smile widening. The girl got up from the chair, took the hairband from Roa, and walked toward him.
The closer she got, the more she could sense the intoxicating scent emanating from the boy.
"You really don't know what you mean to us spirits," Restia sighed helplessly, reaching out to smooth Roa's long hair.
Roa became interested, his gaze lingering on the mirror, where their faces reflected back. Both could be called extremely beautiful, their faces close together.
Restia leaned in closer and whispered, "To us spirits, you are like a drug, constantly emitting an alluring scent. Especially after we tasted you for the first time, we can never resist your temptation."
The warm breath that Restia exhaled brushed against Roa's ear, causing his brow to raise, and a tingling sensation like electricity spread throughout his body in an instant.
Roa turned his head, teasingly saying, "What, have you fallen for me?"
Restia shook her head and laughed, "I wouldn't say I like you; I just find you very tempting."
"Well, is that so? Then you should be careful not to fall into the trap of a despicable spirit user."
"It's rare to meet someone who calls themselves a despicable spirit user, isn't it?"
"Is that so? I think so too."
"Alright."
Tying up the hair didn't take much time. Roa was not like a girl; his requirements were simple—just tie it up so it wouldn't affect him in battle.
Naturally, this didn't take long.
Roa stood up, smoothing out the wrinkles in his clothes, and smiled at his reflection in the mirror, asking Restia beside him, "How do I look, handsome?"
"Well, it's average."
Looking at his sharply defined, handsome face, Restia absentmindedly replied.
"Uh, is this considered average? Then I guess no man in this world has been born who could earn your praise?"
"Who knows?"
Their conversation ended there. Roa tidied up his clothes and walked out of the room, leaving only Est and Restia inside.
Est was still lying on the bed, fast asleep, while Restia's gaze turned toward Est.
The small figure was curled up in the blanket, breathing steadily.
A sly look flashed across Restia's face as she stealthily approached Est.
