"There," Arya said in between breaths, gasping for air..
They all saw it.
At the end of the road, past a crumbling roundabout, was a structure that didn't belong. Not to Westmoore, not to any Earth they remembered. It was tall, seamless, and bone-white — an angular building that jutted out of the ground like a shard of ice. No windows. Just a single, open doorway that pulsed faintly with blue light.
In front of them, their screen appeared, the timer was beeping red.
[5…4…3…]
Everyone sprinted and run like hell as if their life depended on it — which it was.
[2…1…]
Then, a huge screen appeared on top of the tower. Everyone looked up to see what it was.
