Chapter 29 - Chapter 26: The All Father

Almost as if he heard his sister's voice, Theo pushed himself up, his eyes still bloodshot red, matching his gray skin perfectly. He shook violently and , cleaned off the dirt and mud that covered his body. He bellowed in rage, punching his chest again. His mind was still foggy, and the rage was still boiling in his blood. He turned his sights back to Tyler, who collapsed from exhaustion and pain after releasing that final arrow. Theo confused by his rage, approached the unconscious Tyler with intentions to bash his skull in. Theo lifted his ginormous hands above his head, clasping them to form a hammer from his fist.

Theo swung down, roaring at Tyler's limp body. Just as his fist made contact with Tyler's incapacitated form, he froze mid-swing. A divine golden aura surrounded him, dispersing Theo's blood-red aura.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Didn't I warn you about the consequences of transforming into this beast?" Alexander said in a deep, ancient voice. His eye patch had been removed, revealing a pure gold prosthetic eye with a strange symbol carved right where his pupil should be.

"Your All-Father commands you to stop! He commands you to kneel!" an ancient voice boomed, echoing throughout the dome.

Theo strained against the weight of Alexander's words as he dropped to his knees. Alexander's golden aura enveloped him, overtaking the sinister red aura surrounding Theo's body and forcing him down. Despite this, Theo continued to struggle against Alexander's invisible grasp.

"Boy, do you remember when we were in the vault? I told you about what was beneath this eye patch. I warned you that if you ever saw it, you would regret it." Alexander stood before Theo, who was roaring and shouting in an ancient dialect that sounded foreign as he tried to break free from the invisible force. "Now that is more like it! You should always kneel before the presence of the All-Father."

"Damn it, now we have him to deal with too," Dante said, shaking his head. "He just had to release Odin's eye from its shackles."

Valerie looked back and sighed. "I knew he would intervene, although I wish he hadn't." Dante drew his katana, tossing his katanas sheath to the ground.

"Stay here and be ready to heal the kid with the bow. I will ensure Alex doesn't unintentionally kill the kid while trying to help," Dante shouted. Valerie nodded, still channeling her powers into the nearly healed Thalia.

"Now then, beast. You're an eyesore. Disappear!"

Alexander placed his black designer wingtip dress shoes on Theo's enormous shoulder and pushed the giant down to the ground. Reaching into his breast pocket, he pulled out a dark gray, transparent marble. Concentrating his aura into the marble, he closed his hands around it and then casually tossed it at Theo's head. In a flash of bright golden light, the pocket-sized marble transformed into a massive boulder weighing 1,760 kilograms. The sheer weight of it crushed even Theo's strong body into the ground.

As Alexander reached into his pocket to pull out a second marble, he was interrupted when Dante grabbed his hand just before he could throw it onto Theo's body.

"Okay, that's enough. He can no longer fight. Take a look."

Theo's skin was starting to return to its original brown hue, and his body was beginning to shrink back down to its normal size.

"Since when did I give you permission to touch the All-Father's hand?" A golden aura surrounded Dante's body, creating a powerful pressure that weighed down on him.

"Okay, Alex, you're starting to piss me off." Dante's ghostly purple aura dispersed the golden aura surrounding Alexander. "I am tired of this All-Father nonsense." Dante used his other hand to slide the eye patch back over Odin's Eye. The golden aura immediately dissipated, and Alexander stumbled back, blinking and looking around.

"Oh hey, Captain! What's up?" Alexander said, his voice now back to normal. Dante pointed at Theo, whose head was still buried under the weight of the marble Alexander had thrown at him.

"Oh heavens! How did that get there?"

Alexander reached down and pressed his palm against the marble, causing it to revert to its original size before he picked it up. Then he grabbed Theo's dark hair, lifting his head from the ground. Theo coughed and gasped for air, finally able to breathe.

"If he weren't a rare transformation type, that damn marble would have broken his neck. If you had added any more weight, even a transformation type's unique constitution wouldn't have been able to withstand the strain."
