Chapter Thirteen: Powers That Be

When the immense presence that had rattled the entire world of Valtoria finally dissipated, the four kingdoms of the Human Continent moved quickly and discreetly. Each royal family sent their own emissary to investigate the source of the disturbance, their orders clear: uncover the truth, no matter the cost.
One of these emissaries —- the one from the Kingdom of Aris — had just arrived at the kingdom of Aris, dressed in light silver knight armour and armed with a more domineering blade than even the chieftain could only hoped to possess. He had blond hair, blue eyes and a well-built, muscular frame. He had a tight, blade-sharp jaw visible even from beneath his helmet and his face, if one could see through the helmet, would've seen a handsome and appealing man, somehow both young and mature. He had a flowing white cape from behind his armour and a domineering aura.
