Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Arrival at FAMD Headquarters

A/N: An extra chapter cause TorosSilver managed to guess the movie. Enjoy ✌️.

Arwin stepped out of the self-driving car and froze in place.

He had expected a large building, maybe a futuristic corporate tower, when he thought of FAMD Headquarters.

But what stood before him was far beyond that.

It was an entire city.

Tall glass buildings stretched as far as he could see. Floating platforms and vehicles moved through the air. Massive screens played news, entertainment updates, and advertisements.

The ground was covered in moving walkways, carrying thousands of people in different directions. Some were dressed in suits, others in casual wear, all moving like they had somewhere important to be.

Arwin felt like a small-town kid stepping into a big city for the first time.

His eyes darted from one futuristic sight to another, trying to take it all in.

"This place is crazy," he muttered under his breath.

After standing there like a lost tourist for a few seconds, he shook his head and walked toward the entrance gate.

A holographic projection appeared in front of him, taking the form of a glowing blue figure.

"Welcome, Arwin West. We have been expecting you. Please proceed straight through."

Before Arwin could even react, the ground beneath him shifted, and suddenly, he was moving forward on an automatic walkway.

His body tensed at first, expecting to lose balance, but he felt completely stable, like something was keeping him upright.

People were moving in different directions on the same path, stepping off effortlessly when they reached their destination.

"This isn't like any escalator I've ever seen," he thought, watching how smoothly everything worked.

Deciding to stop thinking too much about it, he checked his outfit, making sure he looked presentable.

While he wasn't nervous, he was still walking into unknown territory.

He was just a new director from a small studio, stepping into a place filled with experienced professionals.

Still, he wasn't about to let himself look like a rookie.

Taking a deep breath, he stood tall as the walkway carried him into the building.

The automatic system transported him through several levels, stopping in front of an office door that had a glowing nameplate:

Celyne Voss – FAMD Production Coordinator

Arwin knocked once, then pushed the door open.

Inside, a woman sat behind a sleek black desk, typing away on a holographic screen.

She looked sharp and professional, with long black hair tied neatly back and wearing a well-fitted office suit.

Her blue eyes flicked up the moment he stepped inside.

"Mr. Arwin West," she greeted, standing up smoothly. "Please, come in."

Arwin walked forward and shook her hand. Her grip was firm—not overpowering, but confident.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Voss."

"Likewise," she said, motioning for him to take a seat.

Once he was settled, she asked, "Was your journey comfortable?"

"Yeah, everything went smoothly," Arwin replied. "This place is… impressive."

She gave a small nod, as if she had heard the same thing many times before.

"You have been selected to participate in the next phase of the Nebeska Film Fest," she began. "This is one of the biggest film events in recent years, and many eyes will be watching."

Arwin simply nodded. He had already figured that much.

"You don't need to feel overwhelmed," she continued. "You will not be handling everything alone."

She tapped a few buttons on her holo-screen, bringing up several documents.

"As you know, FAMD will cover all expenses for your movie—this includes studio space, production equipment, and casting."

Arwin listened carefully as she spoke.

"You will be assigned a fully equipped film studio within FAMD Headquarters. This is where you will oversee all production work."

Then, she added, "I will personally handle all logistics, scheduling, and communication. If you need anything, you will come to me first."

Arwin could tell from the way she spoke that she was extremely efficient.

There was no unnecessary chatter, just straight business.

"Understood," he said.

She studied him for a moment, then asked, "Do you need additional personnel to assist in script writing?"

Arwin shook his head.

"No need," he said. "The script is already done."

Celyne didn't react much, just nodded and moved on.

"Then I'll need the title of the film to register it in the system," she said, bringing up a new data entry screen.

Arwin leaned forward slightly.

For a moment, he didn't answer. Not because he was uncertain, but because he wanted to let the weight of the moment settle.

Then, with confidence, he spoke.

"Interstellar."

Celyne typed the name into the system without hesitation.

"Registration complete," she said. "Tomorrow, I will take you to your assigned studio. For now, you will be transported to your living arrangements."

Arwin stood up and nodded.

"Thanks, Celyne. Looking forward to working together."

She gave a professional nod. "Likewise, Mr. West."

Arwin soon arrived at a tall residential building labeled:

FAMD RESIDENCE

As he stepped inside, he found himself in a luxurious apartment, far better than his old one.

A holographic prompt appeared.

"Would you like to activate the built-in AI or connect your personal AI?"

Without hesitation, Arwin selected "Connect Leah."

Instantly, Leah's holographic form materialized, looking brighter and more expressive than ever before.

"Welcome home, Arwin!" she greeted, her tone much livelier than usual.

Arwin raised an eyebrow.

"Why do you sound so excited today?

Leah appeared in front of Arwin.

"The hardware in this residence is significantly more advanced," she explained. "This allows me to process more data, including expressing emotions with greater accuracy."

Arwin blinked.

"So… you were holding back this whole time?"

"Not by choice," Leah replied.

Arwin sighed and shook his head.

"Man… I really don't know anything about AI, do I?"

"You are learning," Leah responded, her voice almost teasing.

Arwin chuckled. "Guess so."

He walked toward the couch and plopped down.

"Leah, how do you think I did today?"

"You handled yourself well," she said. "You remained professional and did not appear overwhelmed. However, it is clear you still do not fully understand how large this competition is."

Arwin sighed. "Yeah… I get that feeling too."

"Still," Leah added, "you are moving in the right direction."

Arwin smiled slightly. "Thanks, Leah."

He stretched and let out a yawn. "Tomorrow's a big day."

"Yes. You should get some rest."

He nodded and headed toward the bedroom.

Back at her office, Celyne sat at her desk, finishing up work.

Her holo-screen displayed reports, casting details, and project schedules.

But in the corner of the screen, a small video player was open.

A familiar blue cat robot appeared on the screen, pulling a gadget out of his pocket.

Celyne's expression remained neutral as she worked.

But when Doraemon spoke, a small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of her lips.

She quickly minimized the screen, returning to work.

But the truth was—

Celyne Voss was a fan of Doraemon.

A/N: Yo guys, throw some of them stones at me!
