Ace quickly made his way to the airport, his private jet waiting for him on the tarmac. He boarded the plane, his mind fixed on Lucien and the pain he must have caused her.
As the plane took off, Ace felt a sense of urgency wash over him. He had to get to Lucien, to explain everything and make things right between them.
Ken, who was accompanying Ace on the flight, looked at him with concern. "Ace, are you sure this is a good idea? Lucien might not want to see you right now."
Ace's jaw clenched, his eyes fixed on the horizon. "I have to try, Ken. I have to make things right with my wife."
The flight was a blur for Ace, his mind consumed by thoughts of Lucien and the situation he had gotten himself into. He couldn't believe how things had spiraled out of control, and he knew he had to make it right.
As the plane landed, Ace felt a sense of relief wash over him. He was one step closer to seeing Lucien and explaining everything.
He quickly disembarked from the plane and made his way to his waiting car. Ken followed closely behind, his expression still concerned.
"Ace, maybe you should prepare yourself for the worst," Ken said, his voice low. "Lucien might not forgive you easily."
Ace's face hardened, his determination evident. "I'll do whatever it takes to make things right with my wife," he said, his voice firm. "I love her, and I won't give up on us."
The car ride to their house was tense, Ace's anxiety building with each passing minute. He knew he had to face Lucien and the consequences of his actions.
As the car pulled up to their house, Ace's heart skipped a beat. He could see Lucien standing in the living room, her back to him. She looked fragile and vulnerable, and Ace's heart ached with regret.
He quickly got out of the car and walked into the house, his footsteps quiet on the floor. As he entered the living room,
As Ace entered the house, he was met with a frosty reception. Jenny stood in the hallway, her eyes blazing with anger as she glared at Ace.
"What do you want?" Jenny spat, her voice venomous.
Ace took a deep breath and tried to explain, but Jenny cut him off. "Don't bother, Ace. We've seen the pictures. We know all about your little escapade with Fiona."
Ace's eyes dropped, shame and guilt washing over him. He knew he had hurt Lucien, and he didn't blame Jenny for being angry.
Ace ignored Jenny's angry glare and made his way to the bedroom, his heart heavy with regret. He found Lucien packing her bags, her movements swift and determined.
"Lucien, please don't go," Ace said, his voice soft and urgent. "We need to talk about this."
Lucien didn't even look up, her eyes fixed on the clothes she was packing. "There's nothing to talk about, Ace. I've seen the pictures. I know what I saw."
Ace took a step closer, his hands reaching out to Lucien. "Please, Lucien, just listen to me. It's not what it looks like, I swear."
But Lucien just shook her head, her voice firm. "I don't want to hear it, Ace. I'm done."
Lucien's voice was firm as she handed Ace a piece of paper. "Sign the divorce papers, Ace. I'm done with this marriage."
Ace's eyes widened in shock as he took the papers from Lucien. He felt like he had been punched in the gut. He couldn't believe that Lucien was giving up on their marriage so easily.
"Lucien, please," Ace said, his voice shaking with emotion. "Don't do this. We can work through this. I love you."
But Lucien just shook her head, her eyes cold and hard. "I don't love you anymore, Ace. And even if I did, I couldn't ever trust you again. Sign the papers."
Ace felt a lump form in his throat as he looked at the papers in his hand. He knew that if he signed them, it would be the end of their marriage. But he also knew that he couldn't force Lucien to stay with him if she didn't want to.
