He once again floated into nothingness. He knew this feeling. This familiar, empty feeling.
Slowly, the void around him began to shift—shaping into solid ground. The ground slowly took form beneath his feet, mist curling through the air.
And standing there was the old man. The same man he saw when he picked up his father's sword. Also that time when he fought Chiron the ferryman.
He took a deep breath and walked toward him.
The closer he got, he realized this time the old man wasn't alone. There were many others behind him—they looked familiar as well. They all followed behind him in silence.
"Long time no see, old man. How you been?" Kael asked with a small smile.
The old man smiled back. "You did well, Kael."
