As Kaelis asks Simon the question hoping he'd say yes he first smiles at Simon warmly and says it
"Can you adopt me or take care of me?"
Simon contemplates and thinks while Kaelis nervously waits for the answer, wishing that Simon would take him. While that was happening, the girls were looking at each other and back at Simon, shocked at how this just happened.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity Simon answers Kaelis' wishes and smiles at him
"Yeah, sure why not, c'mere"
Kaelis runs towards Simon and hugs him deeply, Simon also hugs him back and carries him in his arms.
Simon requests something from Selene
"Hey, sis, can I ask you for something?"
Selene looked curious so she responded with an intrigued voice
"Yeah sure what is?"
Simon gave Selene Kaelis and asked her to take care of him for now
"Can you take care of Kaelis right now? I can adopt him since I'm already 19, but I don't have enough money to take care of the both of us."
Selene smiles at Kaelis and hugs him before responding back to Simon
"Nope, I'm going to adopt him, don't worry I'll take care of him. "
Kaelis smiles at the turn of events and hugs both Simon and Selene, and he asks for one more thing from Selene
"Can you please help me with my research on the Mechanomica, if you can't can you please give me the support I need to create and fix robots"
Selene smiles and hugs Kaelis some more
"You're my son now; if anybody tries to fight you, I'll kill them, alright? But what do you need?"
Kaelis had a scared expression because of Selene's words but he still responded and afterward hugged Selene
"I need a place to make my robots but this cave is enough I just need more materials and people to help me create the robots"
Selene smiled and nodded listening to Kaelis' requests and she patted him on the head before giving him to Simon and ordering him to do something
"Simon you and Lucia go get an adoption paper somewhere I'll have to do something"
Before Selene could leave she was interrupted by Simon asking a question
"Hey wait, where can I get adoption papers?"
Selene thought for a short moment and responded with a calm voice
"Talk to Alastair, he can do almost anything I'm sure he could easily get an adoption paper go talk to him right now"
Simon smiled and thanked Selene before turning to Lucia smiling at her and extending a hand
"Thanks, sis, Lucia let's go already let's go back to the mansion"
Expectedly she blushed madly like a fool and held Simon's hands. Kaelis' watching all of this play out, asks a question, making both of their face light up with a pink tint.
"Are you two dating?"
Kaelis asked innocently after a while Simon regained his composure and responded to Kaelis
"No, she's my friend and I doubt we'll be together since there are other better people than me"
Kaelis pouted and responded annoyed and slammed the palm of his hand to his face as a sign of dissatisfaction
"You really can't see such signs huh?"
Lucia kept listening to the both of them bantering and found it cute, she took Kaelis from Simon and hugged him. Kaelis finally calmed down and hugged her back
A switch of perspective towards Selene, she's seen flying through the air after going through some papers and altering some to show that these people die.
As she was flying through the air she reached the home of Kaelis and broke into the house. She saw Kaelis' father beaten up, with his mother just smoking a cigarette in the kitchen, she looked around and saw there were syringes and beer bottles on the ground
As she took in the sight she felt disgusted to her core before she spoke with anger, annoyance, pity, and unbridled rage
"So you're the parents of my Kaelis. It seems you've been beaten by Simon, but that isn't enough. He's too nice; I'm going to kill you both and send you to hell."
In the next scene, Selene is seen standing outside of the house burning with an intense purple; after a while, the screams of Kaelis' parents were heard, and finally, the firefighters showed up, but no matter what, the fire did not falter burning the house till the ground leaving only the remains of the dead.
She flew back to Simon and Lucia who got the adoption paper for Kaelis Simon handed her the adoption paper mostly filled up just left for the signature of Kaelis' parents and Selene's signature
"Oh, Kaelis parents' signature? They died. Didn't you see the news right now?"
Simon knew Selene had to do something with the death of Kaelis' parents yet he just ignored it knowing they deserved that and Selene' did what he couldn't
"I see. Well I'll go to bed now"
Lucia interrupted them with a respectful be because she had to say goodbye
"Hey sorry to interrupt but I have to go home now Alistair informed me that I'm getting g picked up now, good night oh- and see you tomorrow Simon"
Lucia warmly smiled at Simon making his face heat up once more Selene' and Kaelis snickered out of amusement
The next day Simon's sleep was interrupted by Kaelis shaking him to wake him up and he asked Simon
"Hey, uncle or... Dad? Because you will adopt me right? But Sis told me to wake you up for school oh! and- and she told me to tell you to take me with you to school. We tried elementary school for me. They told her I was too advanced, and they told me to join you!"
Simon was still sleepy and he took a stretch before responding to Kaelis
"Uhuh good morning Kaelis, and sure I'll take you with me, but I'll take a bath first and get ready with some stuff"
