Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Good and Evil, Kakarot and Son Goku

Chapter 41: Good and Evil, Kakarot and Son Goku

Kakarot steadied himself and once again charged toward Lin Qi, the sound of violent collisions echoing through the air.

In the void of the high sky, the afterimages of the two figures collided repeatedly, streaks of radiant light flashing rapidly.

Unfortunately, there were no spectators to witness this battle!

After only a brief exchange, Kakarot quickly fell into a disadvantageous position. Lin Qi once again moved behind him, landing another punch squarely on his back.

"Ugh…" Kakarot groaned as he was sent flying, his body resembling a bullet shot from a loaded chamber.

"Tch… Is this all you've got?" Lin Qi remarked, bored. He had just stepped into the Super Saiyan 5 form.

What's the point of being in a higher Super Saiyan form if your combat power doesn't match?

"Huff… huff…" Kakarot began to feel the side effects of the Kaioken technique. His stamina was depleting rapidly.

"I think you're almost done," Lin Qi said coldly, gazing at the heavily panting Kakarot.

At this moment, Kakarot was suspended in midair, raising both hands high above his head with a twisted expression. It seemed like he was preparing for a desperate final move.

"Heh heh heh, if you can take this attack, I'll obediently go with you!"

Lin Qi raised an eyebrow, noticing Kakarot's familiar actions, and sighed, "Isn't this Goku's signature Spirit Bomb?"

Could the bloodthirsty and savage Kakarot actually use Goku's Spirit Bomb? That didn't seem likely...

"Hmph, I just need to defeat you... as long as it doesn't involve killing!" A black and red Spirit Bomb appeared in Kakarot's hands as he raised them high.

If that could even be called a Spirit Bomb…

The black and red Spirit Bomb grew visibly larger. However, Kakarot frowned in dissatisfaction. "Not enough… This energy isn't enough to defeat this guy!"

"If you all won't share your energy, hmph, do you think I won't take it by force?" Veins bulged on Kakarot's forehead as his violent rage completely overwhelmed his rationality.

"Haahhhh!"

"Stop it, you bastard! The Spirit Bomb isn't meant to be used this way!" The King Kai, who had finally managed to fly back from afar, shouted furiously at the scene.

"All of that energy comes from innocent lives…"

But Kakarot didn't care. Who knew where the nearby energy around King Kai's planet was coming from, but he absorbed it anyway.

The black and red Spirit Bomb swelled dramatically in size before descending upon Lin Qi.

"Impressive energy, but what a pity…" Lin Qi commented faintly. He raised one hand, gathering purple energy in his palm.

"Destruction!"

As Lin Qi's small purple energy sphere collided with the black and red Spirit Bomb, the latter disintegrated like a punctured balloon, instantly collapsing and vanishing.

"How is that possible?" Kakarot widened his eyes in disbelief as he watched his Spirit Bomb disappear without a trace.

"I actually lost… Impossible… How could this happen? I'm a Saiyan who has surpassed the Prince!!"

With a despairing shout, Kakarot's transformation faded, and he reverted to his base form, plummeting downward into the abyss of Hell.

"Tch, can't move now, can you?" Lin Qi teleported to Kakarot's side in an instant, grabbing his wrist.

"Let's go!"

"Waaaaah… My King Kai's Planet!!" King Kai wailed as he watched Lin Qi and Kakarot vanish, tears streaming down his face.

Behind him, his two pets clung to each other, sobbing uncontrollably. King Kai's Planet was completely gone…

Their home was gone!!

---

Back at Bulma's house, Lin Qi unceremoniously threw Kakarot onto the ground.

Despite the treatment, Kakarot didn't react much. At this moment, he seemed utterly defeated, as if the will to live had been stripped away from him.

As the Dragon Balls on the ground emitted a faint glow and Shenron subsequently appeared, Kakarot turned his head toward Lin Qi, making a final desperate plea.

"Can I refuse this arrangement? I won't destroy your planet anymore, isn't that enough!?"

"Saiyans are all liars!" Bulma, hands on her hips, glared angrily at Kakarot. "Look at what you did to my home!"

"You're not my grandpa…" Pan muttered. Although Kakarot's appearance hadn't changed, she could sense that he was different.

"Hmph, you're only pretending to be subdued so you can strike when the opportunity arises…" Vegeta, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, sneered coldly.

"Oh… Just like when you were under Frieza's command?" Lin Qi smirked as he looked at Kakarot, who was feigning obedience. "Do you want to kill me?"

"If so, I might as well kill you instead. After all, you're not Goku!"

"Damn it…" Kakarot clenched his fist tightly, glancing at Pan, who was closest to him, and revealed an evil grin.

"Thinking of making a move…" Lin Qi immediately discerned Kakarot's thoughts from his gaze.

"Off you go!" Without hesitation, Lin Qi struck Kakarot's nape with a swift hand chop.

"Get on with it…" Lin Qi impatiently looked at the floating Shenron as Kakarot collapsed to the ground.

"Shenron, strip away Goku's evil personality!" Piccolo uncrossed his arms and raised his head to address the dragon with his wish.

"Very well…" Shenron's blood-red eyes lit up as black mist began to emanate from Goku's body, which was lying on the ground.

As the black mist thickened, it coalesced into another figure identical to Goku—Kakarot.

"Uh…" Goku quickly regained consciousness. As he stood up, he saw the identical figure standing across from him. "What's going on?"

"How strange… My entire body feels sore, and I have no strength at all…"

"Hmph, your power has dropped to a third of what it was before," Vegeta said with a malicious grin as he stared at Goku.

"Now, the strongest in the universe is me, Vegeta!"

"Dream on! You're still the eternal number two!" Lin Qi gave Vegeta a dismissive glance before turning his gaze toward the motionless Kakarot.

"This guy… should we kill him?"

As Lin Qi and Vegeta debated, Goku became displeased. "Hey, hey, what's going on? Why is there another me?"

Piccolo began a brief explanation. Throughout the explanation, Kakarot kept his eyes on everyone, not daring to make a move. He realized he was in the enemy's camp now!

Instant Transmission wouldn't work; Lin Qi could easily track him down. And with his good and evil traits separated…

Other than Pan, Bulma, and perhaps Trunks and Piccolo, there wasn't anyone here he could beat…

This was beyond awkward!

After Piccolo gave Goku a brief example involving the former Guardian of Earth, Goku quickly understood.

"Oh… So you're the other me!" He curiously examined Kakarot. "Who's stronger between us?"

"About the same," Lin Qi said lazily, stretching before turning to Bulma. "Is it time to eat yet?"

"This guy should just be killed to be safe!" Vegeta voiced his opinion again. After all, Kakarot was a huge risk.
