Chapter 1 - Pilot

"Death to all!"

Shing—!

Swords clashed

Khck—!

Arrows pierced.

Boom—!

Magic flew.

The World was ending. A devastating war between 5 races.

Humans, beings with short lifespans and uncontrolled greed, however have a talent and growth surpassing any other race.

Fiends, uncontrolled abominations with no intelligence that leave nothing but destruction in its wake. Monsters with no emotion but some with powers and strength rivaling even the strongest beings in Twilight.

Angels, heavenly beings who reside in the Aether realm. Celestial beings whose entire race is immensely powerful. Guided by their faith in their Creator, they embody all that is pure and clean.

Demons, rough and unruly beings who crave violence and revel in death and war. Not as intelligent as angels yet even more deadly. They reside in Purgatory, a harsh and barren land filled with miasma that is fatal to any other race that may enter.

Finally, the strongest race, Gods. Divine beings that most of the human race pray to. Beings that don't interfere in Twilight and reside in an unknown realm but are popularly named by all races as the Godly Realm. Gods are unknown beings and not much is known about them other than the one simple fact that all races agree on, if the Gods descend into Twilight, the world will end.

In the dark and bloody battlefields, not much could be comprehended in the chaos of war but everybody had eyes on two specific figures. Two figures that were bloodier than most. Their backs touched each other as they scanned the battlefield for more enemies.

"Y-you! Who are you?!"

This godly being was in fear. One of his own was just killed. In a war it is common for the bodies of Gods to be killed but the soul would reconvene back in their realm however,

"They destroyed the soul!" The godly being couldn't believe it. With that shout that seemed to echo all over the battlefield, everybody looked.

These two killed a god.

One was clad in white medium sized armor with purple engravings that made a beautiful pattern and was deeply stained in the color of red and gold blood and his face was covered with a gray pumpkin. His weapon was unique. It resembles the jaw of a massive beast, crafted from the remains of a fallen star creature. It boasts a unique design, with its serrated edges and heavy, metallic appearance reflecting its formidable power.

The other was wearing golden armor with red fur and red engravings embedded. His armor was drenched in red and gold blood, even more so than the other. His face was also covered but he was wearing an old and ancient looking pot that was massive. His weapon was unique as well. It had a striking and intricate design. It resembles a long, slender weapon with a shaft that tapers to a sharp point, adorned with motifs that evoke red lightning.

They spoke no words but no words needed to be said on a battlefield, actions meant all.

They resumed their slaughter and the war continued on.

In a place far away, in separate locations, two boys with headphones on were talking to one another. One with black hair and the other with blonde.

"We can do it this time."

"Damn right. We have to. I don't think I can do another run. This shit is exhausting."

"I know but we almost got it. We are almost there to complete the hidden ending."

Time passed and the two knights in armor stood at the final door. A wall of white mist. They reached out their hand and passed through.

"This is gonna be a different boss and field than the other runs because of all the different decisions we made."

"Yeah, let's do this."

The room was white. Just white. No boss. No mobs. It was just a big white room with nothing in it.

"What the hell? This gotta be bullshit."

"All that effort and no final boss?"

They were devastated. They spent hours and hours to get that far to achieve the ending they wanted but it was all for nothing.

"I'm getting off."

"Same, I'll see you."

Bzzt—!

The walls of their living room began to ripple like a mirage, and before they could react, the very fabric of space around them twisted and folded inwards like a cosmic origami.

All of the sudden they were in that white room. The white room they despised.

"Blurghh!"

They both threw up due to their bodies being compressed and unraveled as well as their body and mind being twisted.

The black haired boy looked around and saw his best friend throwing up and… threw up even more.

"Blurghh!"

The vomit bursted into white lights and floated in the air before disappearing. After the boys finished their business, they looked around and saw the room they were in. A room that was a white box with nothing in it.

The being was a white light. However, it wasn't bright. They could look at it and see perfectly without a pain in their eyes or flinching away.

"#@$@————" The boys couldn't understand the words and when they tried to hear it, the voice slips away quietly and they don't remember what the being tried to even say.

However it was an ethereal voice that echoed across the room. It wasn't too high or too low and they couldn't tell if it was a man or woman but what they could tell after hearing it, they knew it wasn't a human. After all, no human voice would sound like… that.

"Ah, how improper of myself. It seems I forgot to talk in your language instead of mine. Ahem, It's great to see you, children. My name is simply Creator. Of course you might be wondering what you are doing here or how you've come here. Unfortunately, I don't have time or more specifically, you don't."

The boys wanted to respond but no words came out. They were incapable of speaking at the moment.

The room changed. The walls became wooden, glass windows that showed a view of a sunset on top of a mountain, a fireplace, and living furniture all appeared. The white and blank room became a comfy cabin in an instant.

"Despite the short time you are here, I would like you to be as comfortable as possible. The reason why you can not speak is because it will waste too much time to answer your personal questions."

They teleported onto the couch sitting with the Creator in front of them.

"First things first, you boys will be teleported to the world in which you belong. The World of Twilight. Yes, it is indeed what you are thinking. You will be reborn in the beloved game that you have dedicated hours of blood and sweat into—'The Twilight Throne'."

The boy's eyes widened in shock as they realized this simple fact, if they get reborn into 'The Twilight Throne', they will die. Fortunately, the creator relieved their worries at least a little.

"Second, I will bestow you abilities that will help you survive that world. You will discover them as you go through life there."

"Third, the most important thing, so make sure to listen well. The reason why I'm sending you there,"

The white light that embodied the Creator came together and formed a statue. Gray statue with no blemishes or cracks. It was a perfect stone statue. It has no hair, their eyes weren't open yet the mouth moved bearing a neutral smile. No ears and no clear distinction of any gender.

"Please, save the world. I believe that you guys can do it after seeing the paths you have taken in the game to get the ending you wanted. Of course I know that the game is different in real life but I believe you can do it."

"Lastly, the ending you guys were about to accomplish is not the good ending. Too many people died and eventually the war you have caused has left all of Twilight in ruin."

The boys wanted to ask why did the Creator care so much and why couldn't he do anything about as well as many other questions but they were still prevented from speaking.

"I know you guys have many questions but time is up. The questions that you guys have will be answered as you progress."

The stone being flicked his hand and the boys began to disappear in white light. Before they fully disappeared, the Creator left one last thing on their mind.

"You guys have your own choices, please remember that."

The boys fully disappeared and the corner of the Creator's neutral smile fell down before disappearing in white light as well.

I just posted this just to see if it garners some interest. If it does I'll keep posting but if it doesn't then I'll stop.

This isn't really a fanfic but it does have aspects in the story similar to others.

You can call this a test run.

Hope you enjoy!
