"Sure." Rael sat up straight. "So what's your offer, then?"
"We will accept your terms. 200 million Trell, and you give us the two fragments," Esmeralda replied, sipping on some tea. "No strings attached, just a simple exchange."
Usually, when people say no strings attached, there are strings attached, Rael thought with a sigh.
Caedia spoke up before he could.
"I think we should raise the number slightly."
"And why would we do that?" Victoria asked, puzzled. "His initial offer was 100 million for a fragment, so it's only natural to assume he'd want 200 million for two fragments."
Rael listened to their conversation with a smile and finally chimed in. "300 million Trell."
Caedia's eyes widened as she turned toward him. "Rael... I think you should go slower... maybe? Why not try lower increments to get—"
"Deal." Esmeralda cut her off. "Anything else?"
