Devil's Planet, Devil Empire Capital, Heaven Company, 10:00 a.m.
Damari was a soldier, who had served for his kingdom, his people and his queen with loyalty and bravery for centuries. He witnessed corpses became mountain, blood turned ocean, and his partners fell in the battlefield one by one, who just discussed about their family and unfinished wills with him before they passed away.
How could a soldier expect living for one thousand years? Nine of ten soldiers would sacrifice in the battlefield, for battlefield was always soldier's graveyard. He survived the battle between angels and devils, but he committed suicide. He was a pride young gentleman, who couldn't live his life without dignity and wings.
Year 28, Devil City, Rose Garden
"How many flowers red-stained rose garden,
when sunshine like oils sprinkled down fountain,
petals danced through garden like butterflies,
that fluttered wing by wing toward blue skies."
Damari sighed in rose garden, walking through red cover paved with fallen rose petals. How many flowers blossomed as gorgeous as true love, it grew and opened up with tenderness, care and affection. How many flowers faded as gorgeous as fireworks, it blossomed for a moment yet impressed one's eyes forever.
"How many soldiers blood-stained blue heaven,
corpses became mountain, blood turned ocean,
soldiers sacrificed like fearless fireflies,
that fluttered toward flame burning in eyes."
Damari associated fallen flowers with martyrs, recalling what he had ever witnessed in the battlefield. He witnessed corpses piling into mountain, he witnessed blood flowing into river, and he witnessed his partners fell in the battlefield one by one, who just discussed their family and unfinished wills with him before they passed away.
"One's life was like a scarlet rose in spring,
it grew and opened up with scent and sting,
its scent was like woman's perfume too strong,
its sting was like arrow of love too long."
Damari compared one's life to a scarlet rose in spring, knowing it grew and opened up with scent and sting. One's life was like a scarlet rose, it blossomed for one precious and wild spring, it faded with fallen leaf, that grew with her, and faded with her. The most beautiful and the best things, as such scarlet rose, were always easily gone.
"It hurt someone who tried to pick up rose,
it loved someone who sniffed love's scent with nose."
Damari was gonna pick up a scarlet rose, but he was afraid that rose sting might hurt his tender skin. He leaned forward, and sniffed rose scent with gentlemanlike manners. It smelled like the scent of woman. He smelled the scent of rose, he smelled like as if he smelled the scent of woman, the woman he loved most.
"Separation was like a plump blossom,
it grew and opened up after autumn,
with affection, yearning and lovesickess,
when lovesickness turned snow laced with coldness."
Dahlia muttered in rose garden, walking through rose garden with her dearest Damari. In all the world, there was no dinner without separation. She just enjoyed their dinner under candlelight, and now they were taking a walk in rose garden. She hoped that this candlelight dinner won't be their last dinner.
"When gunpowder covered whole daily dome,
there's nine of ten soldiers missing their home,
for there's always someone deserved to miss,
to remember to come back home promise."
Dahlia imagined the scene when gunpowder covered whole daily dome, and worried of her dearest Damari. She worried of him, because he was gonna be thrown in this merciless battle between angels and devils. She worried of him, because nine of ten soldiers might sacrifice in the battlefield. She worried of him, because she might never see him again, and this moment might be their last sight to see each other.
"If fallen rose red-stained this golden ground,
fall leaf followed and fluttered down with sound,
he whispered out three words, seven letters,
only wind knew how much he loved flowers."
Dahlia compared them to fallen rose and fall leaf, and implied that if he sacrificed in the battlefield, she shall not live in a world without him. She was a witch contracted with her devil partner, who shared her devil partner's lifespan, which was like eternity. She would rather spend a lifetime with him than face all ages of this world alone.
"We were like rose and leaf born together,
and also faced ending of each other."
Dahlia was gonna send her dearest friend off, but she was afraid that she might never see him again, and this moment might be their last sight to see each other. It's been a long way that they took a long walk from rose garden to his military camp. How she wished she was a boy, so that she could fight with him and watch his back.
"My dearest Dahlia! It's time for us to take good care of ourselves. It's time for me to fight for my kind. It's time for you to come back home and take good care of yourself. Remember I would think of you by day, and pray for you by night. When we eventually have a reunion, I would be fonder and prouder of you, my dearest woman."
Damari whispered out his last words to his dearest Dahlia, and cautioned her not to keep walking forward with him. He was gonna walk forward the place where it's the closest place to hell, that's why he cautioned her to return heaven, where he would sacrifice himself to protect it, as so many soldiers did.
"My dearest Damari! I'm so terrified of losing you, because without you my world shall become gray, when you are all the colors of my world. I'm so terrified of losing you, because without you my life shall be meaningless, when you are all the meanings of my life. I'm so terrified of losing you, because without you nobody would love me like you do, when you love me like I do."
Dahlia whispered out her last words to her dearest Damari, and expressed how much she was terrified of losing him. She couldn't help but shed her tears, when she gazed his figure walking out of her misty sight. She wept, because separation always came with sorrow. She wept, because she was so terrified of losing him. She wept, because without him she shall face this world alone for a long time.
