As soon as they passed through the portal, the group was met by the biting cold of the mountains. Harsh winds struck their skin like tiny needles. The fortress before them had once been something grand — but now lay in ruins, abandoned by time.
"Let's go in," Drayk said firmly.
The rest simply nodded, following the young king's lead.
Their senses were sharp, alert for any suspicious movement. As they reached the gates of the great wall, which blended with the rocky mountain formation, Drayk noticed something unusual, a kind of magic was sealing the gate.
He stepped closer, picked up a small stone from the ground, and threw it over the wall. The stone was stopped — a magical barrier surrounded the entire fortress.
Orzoth the sage noticed it too. He approached the gate beside Drayk and began analyzing the seal engraved there.
"This seal… it's draconic magic," he concluded.
"So Zarvokh might be in there?" Varian asked.
But Drayk replied almost immediately.
