{Alt Title- Yugao awakens Haki}
{R18 Warning- Be WaRnEd ThErE WiLl Be BLOOD!!!}
Waking up the next day after claiming his system reward, Ren started his morning like usual with training.
He left early and made sure to submit the mission report, just as Utakata had instructed them. With that done, he went back to his routine: running laps around the village with nearly 400kg of weighted gear on him. The weight didn't slow him down as much anymore, but it still kept the training intense enough.
As he moved through familiar paths, his mind wandered back to the recent mission.
'I didn't really think the movies would be real,' he thought to himself. 'Ni showing up confirms that even the filler movies exist in this world. That means more side characters and random plots could be real too.'
It was a strange thought, but not one that worried him much.
'Most of those movies take place after the main story begins anyway. By the time those villains show up, I should be strong enough to deal with them if something does go wrong. Even if somethings change and show up now there wouldn't be any problems as long as the high level shinobi like Jiraiya and the third are there to handle it.'
The only two that gave him slight pause was the Toneri from The Last movie, but even that didn't bother him too much.
'Naruto and Sasuke will be god-level by then. If things stay the same, they'll handle it. I'll just live my peaceful, overpowered life like a proper isekai protagonist,' he smiled to himself, keeping pace as he ran.
With that, Ren continued his training, his mind surprisingly light despite the weights he was carrying.

It took a few more days before Ren's clones finished reading all the medical books Utakata had given him. As expected, his mastery of Iryojutsu had now reached 25% after going through all of them.
That afternoon, after the team's training wrapped up and individual training began, Ren noticed Yugao on the verge of tears as one of Utakata's clones beckoned her to begin another round of training. Just like he had promised, Utakata had increased her training since the mission, and now all of her gear was covered with mass-increasing seals, even her sword.
She now had to perform sword swings with almost 300 kg of weight, and her sword alone weighed around 60 kg. But the worst part? Utakata kept throwing things, stones, sticks, and sometimes even kunai and shuriken at her while she trained, just to add real danger to the mix.
He wasn't gentle with his throws either, since he could simply heal her afterwards. So if Yugao didn't want to end up traumatized, she had no choice but to dodge every projectile while continuing her sword swings. The training had pushed her so far that she could now be considered a sensor-type, although her detection range was still small, which made dodging all of Utakata's attacks difficult.
Ren walked up to Utakata and said, "Sensei, I've finished all the books you gave me."
Utakata nodded in response. Both Yugao and Hitoshi had already finished their assigned readings and had started practicing the Mystical Palm Jutsu, though neither of them could use it properly yet. Ren had asked to learn the jutsu too, but Utakata had told him to wait until he finished the books.
Now that he had, Utakata simply said, "Meet me at the Konoha Hospital," and flickered away.
~~~
A little while later, Ren stood beside Utakata in front of the Leaf Hospital for Shinobi. In Konoha, shinobi and civilians had separate medical facilities. Only certified medical-nin were allowed to perform operations or treat patients in the shinobi hospital. If anyone else wanted to do so, they needed numerous clearances. Civilians were treated by regular doctors or students just beginning to learn medical ninjutsu.
"Follow me," Utakata said as he walked into the hospital.
Many doctors and nurses greeted him with respect, but he didn't return a single glance. He simply kept walking forward, with Ren following closely behind. Still, Ren noticed several people, female doctors, nurses, and even patients squealing or whispering in excitement as they saw Utakata pass by.
Ren gave his Sensei a once-over and thought internally, 'He really is good-looking. One look and you'd think he's the main character in a cultivation novel.'
He kept those thoughts to himself as they reached an office after climbing a few floors.
Once inside the office, Ren looked around and was immediately struck by how normal the room was, almost too normal. It didn't even look like someone used it. No personal items, no photos, nothing but basic furnishings. The only thing that indicated the office belonged to Utakata was the nameplate on the desk.
The room was divided into two parts. The front was a standard office area, while a curtain separated the back half, likely a small patient examination area.
Utakata walked over to a book cabinet, pushed it aside, and revealed a hidden compartment in the wall. He placed his hand on the surface for a few seconds before a small section popped open. From inside, he pulled out a scroll.
He was about to close it but stopped. After a pause, he glanced at Ren and pulled out two more scrolls before resealing the compartment and returning the cabinet to its original position.
He placed all three scrolls on the desk, then stepped behind the curtain. When he returned, he was carrying a caged pig that was peacefully sleeping and a fishbowl full of swimming fish. He set them down and disappeared again, this time coming back with a glass of water that looked like something had been mixed into it.
Without wasting time on small talk, Utakata sat down and asked, "What is mitochondria?"
Without missing a beat, Ren replied, "Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cells."
Utakata nodded, "Good." Since he was done with the important theory question he continued asking, "What's the most important thing when using medical ninjutsu?"
Ren responded without hesitation, "Observation, concentration, and control."
Utakata gave a small nod. "Everyone can learn medical knowledge from books, but becoming a real medical-nin depends on those three things. If you can't control your chakra perfectly, forget about it. A mistake during surgery could cost someone their life."
He was quoting something Tsunade had once said, and then continued, "For a medical-nin, if they don't have exceptional chakra control, they could end up killing someone while trying to save them. I know you don't want to become a full-fledged doctor, but since you'll be using this knowledge on yourself you need to be even more careful. One misstep, and you're the one who'll suffer."
Ren nodded, listening intently.
Utakata paused for a moment, then added, "I know you're not learning medical ninjutsu to help others. But, if an ally is dying in front of you and you have the ability to help-" He stopped, not finishing the sentence.
"Sit," he said simply.
Ren sat down across from him. Utakata's expression was the same as always, calm and unreadable, but something about the moment felt heavier than usual.
Utakata began, "Let's start with the most basic technique. It's used in both surgery and combat." He raised his hand and activated the [Chakra Scalpel Technique] Chakra gathered at his fingertips, forming a thin, sharp blade.
He pointed it at the pig and made a precise swish with his hand. A clean line of blood appeared where he'd cut. He deactivated the chakra and said, "This is the Chakra Scalpel. Every medical-nin learns this. It's the go-to tool for surgery, and it can be used as a weapon if needed."
He repeated the demonstration, this time shaping the chakra around a single finger. "When you do it like this, it becomes more of a precision scalpel. No hand signs just chakra flow and shape control. You should be able to use it."
Ren raised his hand slowly, running through the steps in his head. Just like Rasengan, it's about control. First, release chakra from the tenketsu points then shape it. He gathered chakra into his palm, spread it to his fingertips, and began to mold it. Slowly, a visible blade of chakra began to take form in his hand.
Ren continued focusing, shaping the chakra just a little more until it took the desired form. A blade of chakra now extended cleanly from his fingertips.
He mimicked Utakata's earlier motion and swiped it across the pig. Just like before, a thin line of blood appeared. Then he tried the more precise version using only a single finger, and that worked too. Once he was done, he dissipated the chakra and looked at Utakata, who was watching him quietly.
Utakata didn't comment, but instead handed Ren one of the scrolls he had retrieved earlier.
"This is the Accelerated Coagulation Jutsu," Utakata said as he passed the scroll.
At the same time, he placed a hand over one of the pig's wounds, one of the two that were still bleeding, the first caused by Ren and the other by Utakata himself. When he pulled his hand away, the cut had stopped bleeding entirely, sealed over by a neat clot.
"Describe the usefulness of the jutsu as you read the scroll," Utakata instructed.
Ren began speaking, "The jutsu helps in immediate bleeding control and stops an injured shinobi from losing too much blood. That way, a medic-nin can tend to those who are more critically wounded first. It can also be used as a base for performing advanced jutsu or surgery while minimizing the risk of infection or worsening the injury."
He kept speaking as he read.
The Accelerated Coagulation Jutsu was a C-rank, beginner-level medical technique that required four hand seals. To perform it, the user first had to identify the wounded area, then place their hand a few centimeters above the site and send rhythmic pulses of yang chakra into the blood. This would simulate and accelerate the body's natural clotting process.
The real difficulty lay not in sending the chakra pulses, but in identifying the red blood cells (RBCs) within the blood to ensure the chakra was directed properly.
Once he was done reading and summarizing, Ren looked up at Utakata, who gave him a small nod.
Ren proceeded to make the required hand signs: [Ram → Ox → Cat → Dog] He positioned his hand over the pig's wound and pushed yang chakra into the area. He focused carefully, pulsing the chakra in the rhythm outlined in the scroll, guiding it toward the red blood cells he had identified with his first pulse.
Once he felt the clot was complete, he pulled his hand back and leaned over to inspect the wound. Sure enough, the bleeding had stopped and a clot had formed, although it looked rougher and messier than Utakata's.
Just as he was about to comment, Utakata's voice calm as always rang out:
"Back up."
Ren instinctively leaned away from the pig and in the very next second, a small fountain of blood erupted from the same wound he had just sealed.
{Ren's first attempt at medical jutsu, and it was so good that the patient rewarded him with a fountain.}
{Also, don't ask me about any medical info you just read. I am a commerce student, so even this much information I had to gather from the internet. My parents are already disappointed enough that I didn't take science, so I don't need you guys highlighting it by testing my knowledge.}
{Anyway, I was not kidding when I wrote Yugao awakened the sensor talent; it was true. I actually forgot that she was admitted into the ANBU for her swordsmanship and sensor talent, so I had to make something up.
Although it looks like the awakening of Observation Haki, it really is the sensor field that talented sensors awaken.}
