Zhou Yinuo and Liang Zihan remained behind, slumped against the wall. Liora knelt and gently lifted the child from her carry bag. She placed him next to Zhou Yinuo, who immediately adjusted her position to cradle him.
"I'll protect him," Zhou Yinuo whispered, her voice low but firm.
Liora nodded. "Don't move unless you must. Absorb the crystals. Recover. We'll handle this."
Zhou Yinuo clutched one of the glowing crystals tightly, her fingers trembling slightly. "Be safe."
She nodded without answering and turned away. She had already placed a pile of crystals beside them—most of what they had harvested from the earlier zombies. Zhou Yinuo and Liang Zihan had handed her their share earlier to keep it in her space, because it was practically impossible to carry so many crystals with them.
They carried only a few crystals with them for emergency, and all of them were given to Liora to store, just like Ji Ming's group had done it.
